He's probably already affiliated with an organized crime group though, so he might last a while.

NicoFinn,

I think the implication (about him wearing a suit sans tie) is that someone was worried that he may hang himself with a tie. It's the NY Post afterall, their readers are trained to hear the "dog whistle" and read something sinister into every article.

I'm not one to believe in conspiracy theories much, but I do believe that one observer/poster in the comments section may have made a good point when they noted: "If you make him seem crazy now, it may help out others later when he starts naming names." I was actually kind of thinking along those lines as well - I wonder how far this whole thing will go before Kerik sells his old buddy and former business partner Guiliani down the river?

I saw Kerik on Fox News all the time, even recently I thought. I wouldn't doubt if him carrying on and "cracking" is all part of trying to get some sort of book deal out of all this.

coco ebert: Are they outsourcing sketch artists now? That's the worst courtroom sketch I've ever seen.

Yes, that sketch is particularly vomitous.

My Dad, who was a newspaper man his entire live, was good friends with a court sketch artist. If that man saw what was passing for court room sketches these days, he'd be rolling in his grave. He did such beautiful detailed drawings, and could do them on the fly - he was amazing to watch.

When my older brothers were young, and I was about 7 or 8, he did a drawing of each of us in a courtroom setting, complete with a stern looking judge looking down and other court hangers-on looking on sternly. My older brother's drawing looked like he was being arraigned for arson or some other heinous crime. My Mom still has them, framed and hanging in the dinning room, and they get a lot of attention from guests. When asked wtf the are, mom will say something like "my boys were very, very bad boys when they were young".

FTFA: apparently losing it in the slammer.

Kerik can't stand humiliation, the sources said, and was totally despondent after the 2004 debacle when corruption allegations derailed his nomination to head the federal Department of Homeland Security

Sucks to be you. And you wanted to head up the DHS? Your humiliation is about to begin big boy. Nobody cares that you lost whatever it is you feel you lost.

The one of Nicole Richey makes her look actually better than she does in real life. Although you could clearly tell that whoever drew that is a fashion designer wannabe.

General pop? Regardless of what the inmate wants, Rikers has an obligation to protect Kerik due to his former LE status. He should have been put in protective custody regardless of any other issues. Kinda like Jeffery Dahmer being a trustee and getting killed by another inmate. Stupid decisions by these prisons end up with huge lawsuits by the families.

I was just looking at his entry on Wiki:

Kerik attended Eastside High School, but dropped out to enlist in the United States Army in July 1974. (He later received a GED). Kerik served in the Military Police Corps. He was stationed in Korea as an military police sentry dog handler and to the XVIII Airborne Corps at Fort Bragg in North Carolina, assuming military police duties and teaching hand-to-hand combat to Special Operations and Special Forces personnel at the John F. Kennedy Unconventional Warfare Center.

I find it very hard to believe a Puppy-Pusher was training Delta Force guys in hand-to-hand combat.

I wouldn't put it past him to pad his resume.
