Worst way I ever heard of wasn't in a movie: woman in nursing home stung to death by fire ants.

Mugato [TotalFark] 2009-10-31 12:34:40 PM
Most of those deaths were visually pretty gross but most of them at least died quickly. I mean Sam Jackson didn't know that shark was coming at him until he was already dead. Now Quint in Jaws, that was a painful shark killing. Off the top of my head I'd go with

Nazis getting their faces melted off in Raiders of the Lost Ark

Any death in Seven

The girl getting her skin ripped off and then eaten by Pinhead in Hellraiser 3

Although he didn't technically die (unless you want to get into a semantic argument with Obi Wan), Darth Vader having 3 limbs chopped off and left to lay in semi molten rock

Braveheart being disemboweled

Carrot Top bombing at his show at UF that I had to sit through

What no:
Yahoo Serious in Young Einstein?
Michael Myers in The Love Guru? OR
Stevie Ray Vaughn in Tallahasee Tubetopper?

THIS LIST IS BULLSHIATE!

I tried to find a clip, but I remember a movie called "The Legacy". A woman dives into a swimming pool, but when she tries to come up for air, the surface has become solid, like glass. She bangs and bangs on it, but can't ever come up for air and she drowns.

Absolutely horrified me as a kid.

The RoboCop franchise singlehandedly cornered the market on awesome movie deaths

Kinny gets ownd

Dr. Romano gets ownd

Alex Murphy gets ownd

Robocop II gets ownd. Twice.

Drug factory workers get ownd

No guillotine glass from "The Omen"?

Most of those are instantaneous, some even without awareness, which makes them far preferable to much slower deaths:

Crucifixion,

Being fed feet first through a deli slicer,

The saw (see below),

Dying of old age spending every day knowing you slept with Wanda Metcalf in 10th grade, or

Having people laugh at your howls of agony while you slowly roast (new window).

Happy Halloween everyone.

What? Nothing from any of the Saw movies? Most of those are pretty damn horrific.

Gore-obsessed video intern Brad Clark scoured countless horror movies to find the most creatively campy, disgustingly delirious, and just plain shiatty ways to die and condensed it to under a minute.

Except it was a minute and eight seconds.

Hey, don't ruin a scary movie thread with that stuff... I've got a pretty strong stomach, but reading about those murders is a good way to ruin your day... Glad they caught those bastards and I wish hell were real.

hitmanric 2009-10-31 05:52:19 PM
Seems that most of these movie deaths are based on real life deaths.

That being said, being buried alive by hot asphalt (happened about 100 kms away from here) would be the worst real life death I can remember.

No "Passion of the Christ"?

That was the most horrifying movie I've ever seen.

Snu Snu not so bad.

Doesn't count, because the movie was fiction

Gore. He likes gore. And, uh, Jesus. But mostly gore for a "noble" cause. Ever see Apocalypto? It was gore and nonsense.

I saw that movie with a bunch of other drunk college students on Easter, we were passing around jugs of wine and laughing the whole time.

What about Ghost Ship with Julianan margulies that had everyone cut in two by the cable that the bad guys snapped. Everyone got cut except a little girl that was hung later.

that was ok? O.o

Hmph. No wonder some say that horror movies were scarier back in the days where was little to no gore

Meh; all very unlikely.

For my money, the worst way to die is being gored by a wild animal.

The last major death from Saw VI was probably the coolest/worst way to die I have ever seen.

Ziegenbak 2009-11-01 01:13:34 AM
As someone who watched 'Teeth' last night, I'd have to say getting your penis bitten off by a man-hungry vagina with razor sharp shark teeth should be on anybodies list.

I saw Prom Night 2 last night. Getting electrocuted at the computer and having your eyes explode all over the monitor is pretty bad.

At least he got some before he died.

During a history class in college our teacher went over medieval torture methods for Halloween. Vlad the Impaler wins hands down for thinking up the worst and most horrific way to die in history.

Elizabeth Bathory had some unique ideas on skin care. I always thought here methods were macabre and bizarre. But yes, Vlad was one strange man.

I have one question for you: Is the rest of the movie that awesome?

Tanji: During a history class in college our teacher went over medieval torture methods for Halloween. Vlad the Impaler wins hands down for thinking up the worst and most horrific way to die in history.

He didn't invent it, but he did do some creative things with it.

Judge Holden is on the way to this list. He will own it, lesser beings will be eliminated. Blood Meridan is soon to start production
