What happens when we break the law?
What happens when the rules aren't fair?
We all know where we go from there:
TO THE HOUSE OF PAIN!

fark yeah! I love Oingo! I wish they would reunite.

Jesus, that was a trainwreck.

I'm cool with PetMD being a sponsor of the site, but it's really pissing me off that I have to up the security of the popup blocker just to click around on the TF main page without it automatically jumping me to their site. That's just... scavenger behavior.

Seemed more interesting than this article.

Was a great show too.

/that was 14 years ago?
//get off my lawn

KingFirley: fark yeah! I love Oingo! I wish they would reunite.

Danny Elfman said a couple of years ago it wouldn't happen, because of the damage to his hearing, and possibly other band members hearing. From their Wikipedia page.

I was there! Ruined me for every concert thereafter.

/Vatos' "reunion" concerts are just depressing. Though Steve Bartek still kicks ass.

My first concert was Oingo Boingo at the Center Stage theater in Atlanta in 1990 or so. I got to see them 3 more times. Once at the Ritz in Atlanta and twice at San Diego State.

It's a shame that there won
t be any reunion shows.

Can't believe that was 14 years ago. Still one of the best shows I have ever seen.

/Boss paid for all of us to go
//BIG Boingo fans
///They went to EVERY show in LA, all of them, for 5 nights

Gratch 2009-10-30 11:28:26 PM
I'd have given my left nut to be at that show, but will have to settle for my beat-up double VHS recording. I love the versions of Insanity (new window)and Nasty Habits (new window) from that concert.

So that was their last concert?
Here are their humble beginnings.

I really regret never going to any of their halloween shows. "Oh I'll just catch them next year"

arizona4boingo 2009-10-30 11:50:19 PM
I went to the Farewell shows 14 years ago and the Vatos show last night

/Not the same without Danny
/Sluggo kicks Ass
//Bartek is god

Saw them at Cal State Fullerton in 1984. The opening act was Berlin. It was a really great show.

/Opening song was "Wake Up (It's 1984)"

I used to go to their Halloween shows every year at Irvine Meadows when I was in high school/college..."Grey Matter" was always a crowd favorite with the xylophone duet...good times!

It's sad they'll never reunite again, but I'm glad I got to see them when I had the chance. One of the best live acts ever.

douchebag/hater 2009-10-31 07:15:23 PM
Not bad, just not my style.

Danny Elfman needs to keep his shirt on and needs to stop recycling
the same music for each sound track he writes.

He is tapping Bridget Fonda's azz so he's got that going for him.

BenJammin 2009-10-31 08:42:13 PM
May they rest in peace along with Windows 95

Saw them on this tour in Boulder, CO - great show! I'm glad to be able to say I saw Boingo. Bought a cool cap, too - wonder where the hell it is?

Thanks Subby! I was lucky enough to see them on the Riverboat President in New Orleans. Pure awesomeness!

I was at the last concert. It was epic, but sad at the same time.

There is a great cover band of them though that goes around the west coast.

http://www.deadmansparty.com/

They use some instruments that were donated from Oingo Boingo, and the singer is a dead ringer for Danny.
