That's because the Red Hot Chili Peppers used up the entire monthly quota for music industry stupidity this month by saying their next album was inspired by Radiohead. Hannibal Lechter would literally have to stir-ry and eat 48% of Corgan's brain before Billy could match, much less surpass, that level of stupid.

Smashing Pumpkins' frontman has a central thesis - that the illness was "created by man"

I do not trust those who make the vaccines

If the virus comes to take me Home, that is between me and the Lord

That's from the article. Going from his actual blog...

I would suggest however that it is possible the virus is not a naturally occurring virus

So you have a situation here where you can examine your own Mind-Body-Soul power staring in the face of Death itself.

So I'm counting at least five.

Haha. That photo had photoshop written all over it. Nice job.

I have a working theory that Billy is actively working to fill the void of crazy/creepy that Michael Jackson left when he died.

I'm calling it now. Within the year, he will own Neverland Ranch.

a summary of a blog post isn't an "article". it's more like a book report.

Rolling Stone Magazine is an abomination.

Hey, I often typed 5 page book reports in middle school. This isn't even a fraction of that work. You insult book reports everywhere.

2/10. not very believable.

Blog Posts and summaries thereof is what's being pushed as "content". fark off.

Corgan's a very talented musician / artist who did a lot of good work. Somewhere around... 2002 maybe? He vanished up his own asshole. Kind of a shame.

Corgan has begun work on a behemoth of a project called Teargarden by Kaleidyscope, a 44-song album that Corgan will release piecemeal as he completes the songs.

Not sure how I feel about that.

I used to love Smashing Pumpkins...now...not so much. At least the new stuff anyway.

Siamese Dream still rocks!

i meant it in reference to writing a written piece about someone else'e written piece. so i'll revise:

it's more like a dust jacket review.

Indeed. I still 'air drum' to Geek U.S.A on occasion, although I've come close to suffering a prolapsed anus in doing so.

Teargarden by Kaleidyscope? Is that latin for 'time to change my medication'?

carmody 2009-10-30 04:28:19 PM
And yet he still sucks ass.

Wrackspurt 2009-10-30 04:31:36 PM
Um...The Tear Garden are already a band (Edward Ka-Spel of The Legendary Pink Dots and cEvin Key of Skinny Puppy, in fact). Kind of an on again/off again thing, but still...

Must be a very short article...

Excuse me, but i prefer to let Big Pharma vaccine makers and the CDC/FDA who are in their pocket form my perception of what swine flu is or isn't ... not Billy Corgan, thank you very much.

Adult celebrities, when given a forum to express themselves, often express themselves just as eloquently as the rest of us - Yet we worship these people, give them money, and continue to urge them on.

Oh, what a world.

Actually the supposition that H1N1 is man-made isn't that far off the mark. It's just not the conspiracy theory that the morons make it out to be.

I've read it's rather strongly suspected that H1N1 evolved out of vaccination attempts on pigs during the Spanish Flu epidemic after the First World War. Inject dead or slightly-not-dead samples of the original badass influenza, give it a century or so to mutate, and voila: H1N1.

some one needs to do a photoshop of that Corgan picture to the "go cry somewhere else" emo boy. that's all i could think about when i say it.

alas i have no PS skills. i'll give cookies to whoever does. internet cookies!

You know, in 1995 when I was 18, his lyrics and music were delivered perfectly for my demographic. Then He stopped maturing, became angry and ignorant and therefore irrelevant, and it was not a coincidence.

Thank you sincerely for the 90's, Billy, sincerely. It's time to stop.

Mr. Potatoass 2009-10-31 04:06:58 AM
I haven't liked anything he's put out since Mellon Collie.
For the most part, I think he's a egotistical douchebag.

"This is not judgment; it is a personal decision based on research, intuition, conversations with my doctor and my 'family'"

I do, however, agree with this statement.

Your Average Witty Fark User 2009-11-01 12:55:26 AM
I love Smashing Pumpkin haters, and especially Billy Corgan haters.

Look, he makes good music whether you like it or not, he's swimming in money like Scrooge McDuck, and he's banging chicks who wouldn't even wipe their asses on you. So, yeah, just keep on hating.

Shenanigans! 2009-11-01 12:44:20 PM
This is relevant to my interests, because I get all my medical advice from washed-up rock stars.

He had two great albums, so how could he be wrong about this?

I am going to do what I do every time Corgan has new material. I'm gonna get my hopes up...I'm going to try and like it.

Then I'm going to be let down, again.

/sigh
