Yeah, I know I'm gonna bring on the "You know how I know you're gay" pic here.... but how about love, too?

Songs about how spun you are on that girl you like beat the holy hell out of "look at all the worthless trinkets I own!" or "I'm a suburban kid with so much pent-up gangsta angst" or "I be pimpin' all dem biatches!".

Most important part of music: riffs. Screw everything else!

/honestly, I've got bands with absolutely horrific vocalists that sound great due to Death By Riffs.

Vegas, 1966. Sinatra, Basie, and Jones was a perfect storm of cool.

Pure brilliance.

I'll extend what you meant to include any subject matter of significance.

"Music" is out there Mr. Jones. Sadly the acclaim goes to the candy at the front counter and not substance in the back-aisle. And, when in the rare instance innovation and integrity find popularity, it quickly spoils.

O and I am absolutely sick of cats who think that they have rhythm and can play drums. FULLY sick.

I don't even like Sinatra (because he was such an asshole), but I am forced to agree with your assessment.

He decries the lack of actual music, and yet says that Ludacris is the real deal.

Nice to see you can even buy Quincy Jones with a brass plaque.

It is sad to see that senility is starting to set in with Quincey. Mentioning Ludicris and music in the same sentence

Old people still suck no mater how famous they are. Don't trust them, don't listen to them.

If you can't find any good music, you don't like good music.
Turn off the radio.

There's good music out there now, but little great. What bands of today (who started out this decade) do you think we'll still be talking about in 30 years?
