Alsø, høw did he think that using tape øn his legs was a gøød idea? (Ør that the cans wøuldn't løøk a bit øut øf place, før that matter.)

So, the misshapen, writhing masses on his body didn't raise immediate suspicion? It was the tarantula in his luggage?

I have a leopard gecko in a terrarium in my office, a "retiree" from tail-regeneration research in another lab. She's pretty cute, as non-fuzzy animals go, and even if she really only cares about her heat pad and mealworm supply, I can pretend she is happy to see me...

These guys are all over Texas. There are 4 big ones which hang out on my window at night eating every bug attracted by the light that lands there. Often they try to nail moths WAAAY too big for them.

Technically they're an invasive species. They really didn't come into the area big time until ~10 yrs ago. But, all they do is eat a few types of bugs and are supposed to eat small roaches too. They're pretty welcome, actually.

Cool. I was thinking about catching one of those, but don't like to disturb the ecos. My son is primarily in Denver with his mom, and likes lizards. El Paso is crawling with those too. If they are non-native, no prob. What are they called?

Because you touch yourself at night.

They can't be no worse than some of the headlines that do end up with the green.

Mediterranean house geckos. My house is crawling with them. I think they are cute, but my dogs don't. I also once had one crawling around in the air vents of my car's a/c. All I saw was a leg and tail disappearing into the vent. I tried to get it out, but it was gone.

You can catch all you want. There are more.
I've found them scurrying around in my house more than once, and have found one dried up and completely flattened because it thought the hinge side of the door jam was a great place to hang out.

They eat roaches. They're kinda cute. So I don't mind them inside at all.
