At least this headline didn't start with 'protip:'.

She told deputies she awoke to find two men standing over her with guns and demanding cash.

Scano forgot to scan the crime scene for evidence.

The middle of the article has a link to See Cell Phone Photos.

Interesting cell phone -- looks just like a person.

At least they had the sense to put the pictures on the website. I can't count how many stories like this we've seen where they don't publish the pictures.

How about starting with:
1) Don't bring your cellphone (or wallet, or pictures of your kids, or a letter from your probation officer, etc. with you in the first place.

?

Or if you do, make sure it's a fake id for someone who looks like you.

Think of the unfortunate court appointed defense attorney that gets assigned to this case. He'll take one look at the evidence and wonder why he didn't go to med school instead of attending Shyster Academy.

Really what possible defense could be presented?

1) My client is innocent because the cops faked the evidence including all the fake photo timestamps, the fake photo backgrounds, etc.

2) My client is innocent; he just dropped his cell phone after making sweet consensual love to the aggrieved woman.

3) My client is innocent as his heretofore unknown identical twin did the deed.

Detectives said Sinclair recently tried to rob the victim's boyfriend at his Palm Beach County home but was unsuccessful.

Is anyone else as curious as I am about this?

Don't most cases get settled with a guilty plea of some sort? Maybe to a lesser charge, but not with an aim of acquittal as such.

Perry Mason got cancelled years ago, but the spirit seems to live on for some reason.

I wonder what is the record minimum number of comments for a greenlit thread before it is archived?

The same as the number here after your message got posted. Nice going, numbnuts, we were about to call the Guinness people.
