What exactly is that supposed to mean?

I am sorry. Our courts lack jurisdiction over all deities, their children, and various supernatural entities from angels to demons.

Sybarite [TotalFark] 2009-10-05 01:05:58 PM
I may be an atheist, but I have long said that I will worship any deity (or other supernatural entity) that is willing to smite mine enemies. Hell, I'll even tithe 10% for that kind of service.

benlonghair [TotalFark] 2009-10-05 01:14:59 PM
Klingenschmitt, 41, told The News that he has "never incited anybody" to hurt Weinstein, whom he called a "paranoid megalomaniac who has a history of anti-Christian persecution."

For some reason, I'm gonna believe the random Jew in Texas over a christian church. Sorry.

I think this says it pretty well. NSFFC. (Not safe for fundamentalist christians.)

I love when people transfer their inhuman monstrousness onto their God. That's the true essence of organized, fundamentalist religion.

GurneyHalleck: I love when people transfer their inhuman monstrousness onto their God. That's the true essence of organized, fundamentalist religion.

It's more simple than that. Religion is a way of us looking at our problems and transferring them to somebody other than ourselves.

This is an astute observation, and fits in with the Judeo-Christian model of transferring sins onto a sacrifice.

Klingenschmitt... hmmm... Sounds GERMAN to me...

Go To Heil, Klingonschiat!

Weinstein's attorney, Randal Mathis, said their biggest concern is that Klingenschmitt's audience includes a "certain number of unstable people" who might act in the name of God.

so
do we need a number of stable people, to well, take up arms against these nuts?

is the only way to protect society from the full blown batshiat crazies is to kill them?

they are waging a war against logic and rational thought.
they dont believe that the law applies to them.
they believe that they are doing gods work.

no law, no education, no court order can protect you from them.

/on another note, can you shoot and kill people who are throwing shiat at your house? what about swastikas?

Diogenes: You pray that the people with whom you disagree will be saved and see the true way. You don't pray they suffer ills.

I don't pray at all. If they disagree with me, I listen to their reasons. There is a chance I may be incorrect, or may have based my opinion on incomplete information, and may have to adjust my viewpoint to conform with the facts more efficiently.

If, after careful discussion, I determine that my initial hypothesis was in fact the correct one, and they were in the wrong, I simply shoot them dead and urinate in any open facial oriface available.

And every year in between. And many years before that. Before that, it was other religions asking for this. Not that they aren't now also.

"I never prayed for anyone's violence," he told the paper. "All I did was quote the Scriptures."

So you prayed for violence?

Just going to update my comment from the redlit version of this:

FTFA "I never prayed for anyone's death," he said. "I never prayed for anyone's violence. All I did was quote the Scriptures."

"I swear officer, it wasn't hate speech! God says homos are sinners who should be stoned to death for the abomination they are, not me! I'm innocent!"

Shut the fark up and take responsibility for your beliefs and actions you coward. Mikey actually defends the Constitution, instead of this bullshiat lipservice the people he sues pay to it, right before promising to make "government-paid missionaries for Jesus" while appearing on Christian television in full military dress - a violation of military code of conduct.

Check out the Military Religious Freedom Foundation folks. Mikey is basically taking on the entire Conservative Christian movement by himself.

What you should say is you hate people who use religion as an excuse or a cop out for their own idiotic actions. Those who are actually legitimately religious are nothing like this, and we too look shamefully on those who make the rest of us look like tools.

"I never prayed for anyone's violence," he told the paper. "All I did was quote the Scriptures." His prayers are available on his website, the Pray In Jesus Name Project, The Evening Prayer's Channel and for radio broadcast.

Does he want Mikey Weinstein to die? "I pray the Psalm that his days are few," he told The News.

I guess he wants God to kill him peacefully in his sleep rather than one of his crazy followers shooting him. You see, everyone has a soft spot.

Misusing ostensibly-Christian prayer as a form of black magic makes the baby Jesus cry.

I'm confused. Seems like you'd only need to wipe out 3, maybe 4 generations to eliminate a family. 10 seems like overkill or incompetence.

When confronted with these types of christians, just quote slayer lyrics:

"I dipped the bible in a pool of blood so none of its laws can affect me!"

/Either that or sacrifice a live chicken and call forth Jobu to kick their asses.

sonofslacker 2009-10-05 03:31:43 PM
How do you wipe away descendants for 10 generations? Do you miss some the first 9 times? I'm thinking 'wipe away' means to kill them all. The first time should do it then, right?

Out of curiosity, what percentage of a particular social group do you think has to act badly before the "No true Scotsman!" defense stops working?

North Korea says 3 generations to wipe out dissent, iirc.

I don't understand Christians.

Either Jesus was Jewish and the Old Testament counts, OR

Jesus redefined all the rules and the OT doesn't count.

How can they have it both ways?

I think you wipe away most of the descendants each generation, but leave just enough so that you can repeat the process again next generation.

I can get behind this.

It's only a matter of time until there's a red vs. blue civil war. The red will win... they have all the guns.

Does he want Mikey Weinstein to die? "I pray the Psalm that his days are few," he told The News.

Then that would be a yes.

How did this guy last as a Navy Chaplain? Being an actual bigot on a ship or a base is the quickest way to find yourself in solitude. (You can horse around and mock slur your fellow sailors, which is basic puffing out ones' chest but the moment you actually have some malice behind it, you are going to find yourself being the outcast.)
