Lions, Rams, and Jets will all pull of the upset. The Cowboys will fire their punter mid-game for hitting the scoreboard. Denver and Chicago will prove that they got the clearly superior quarterback in the Cutler trade.

I wish I could go see them in Jax this year, since next year they might be the LA Jaguars, unless they draft Tebow of Nazareth...

Since everyone is calling for the Jets to beat the Pats, I dont think it can be called an upset anymore.
The Rams are as bad as last years lions, in my opinion.

That's okay, I live in south Florida and I'm watching New England/NY Jets on CBS, and New Orleans/Philly on Fox.

That's about as stupid as eastern Wisconsin getting the Seattle/San Fran game, while the rest of the upper Midwest and Great Lakes states get the Minnesota/Detroit game.

sn0wblind: The Rams are as bad as last years lions, in my opinion.

Tough call after one week, but I'd say it's close. Each team needs to have a game where they are just emotionally crushed into oblivion.

The game that showed me how bad the Lions were last year was Thanksgiving against the Titans - never have I never seen a team so physically dominated and mentally defeated. The offense would trot out with its shoulders slumped just hoping the next three-and-out would be less painful than the last. The defense did not look like they were even on speaking terms with eachother - each man just stood with his hands on his hips, catching his breath in his own five foot area of personal space. The team was beyond a glimmer of hope.

The Rams look bad enough to have one of those games sooner rather than later.

Well, we get our usual diet of NY teams today. 1 pm Jets 4 pm Bills evening Giants. Too bad we are Packers fans here :/ Geographically it makes sense of course, but try telling my wifie, the transplanted cheesehead that. On the plus side, I do have a soft spot for the Bills since my cousin played for them for a number of years.

Jay Cutler @ Steelers?

Fantasy football nerds, UNITE! I'm rolling the dice and starting Forte today. Hope Cutler remembers this dude caught 63 passes last year, because I doubt Forte gets it done on the ground today.

The Steelers beat a much better team than the Bears without Polamalu.

Just saw McNabb get his ribs cracked by an IHop waitress on the NFL network.

I get the feeling this will be the Lion's week.

Browns over Denver (this should be a no brainer)
I think the Rams will still lose. I'm taking the patriots over the Jets for my 'upset' pick. I think we will find out who are the real bottom dweller teams this week!

I'd go with Edwards, I wouldn't start many QBs against the Steelers. Then again, I am starting Flacco over Rivers today, so what do I know?

I say Edwards vs. that terrible Bucs secondary.

Forte is always a start.

rezin8 2009-09-20 10:54:15 AM
My 3 picks so far...

209 New England Patriots -4 -115 for Game
205 Oakland Raiders +3 -120 for Game
215 New Orleans Saints -2 -110 for Game

Let's see how it works out.

Edsel 2009-09-20 10:55:01 AM
Bears win because Cutler makes less mistakes and the pass rush gets to Big Ben. Jets win because the Pats have Adalius Thomas and nobody else playing linebacker. No punts hit the scoreboard this week.

Agree with both. Romo destroyed the Bucs secondary last week. And Cutler will check down to Forte more this week.

what pass rush? The bears are going to be picked apart by the Steelers, who are suddenly a pass-heavy team.

well if he does it only once it will be an improvement. he looked like he'd never even practiced with the bears before that game.

Its the second week, and somehow my fantasy team is already a horrible mess.

Don't know who to start as a third RB:

1. Michael Bush (Oak vs. KC)
2. LenDale White (Ten vs. Hou)

These are the WRs I have to choose from. I need to pick two.:

1. Louis Murhphy (Oak vs. KC)
2. Antwaan Randel El (Was vs. StL)
3. Derrick Mason (Bal vs. SD)
4. Isaac Bruce (SF vs. Sea)
5. Nate Burleson (Sea vs SF)

How the hell did my team become a mess so fast?

Oh, and I'm also really really looking forward to having Big Blue piss all over Jerry's multi-billion dollar parade tonight. Oh man that's gonna make my week. What could be better than ruining the night of 105,000 Texans?!

tommyl66 2009-09-20 11:02:26 AM
drew46n2: well if he does it only once it will be an improvement. he looked like he'd never even practiced with the bears before that game.

Why should he have to practice? He is a FRANCHISE QUARTERBACK and the rest of the team should be working to get on his level.

/Feels kinda slow in here, trying to spice things up

VvonderJesus [TotalFark] 2009-09-20 11:02:57 AM
Why is everybody picking Detroit? Last time I checked the Vikings have the best running back in the league for 3 years running, the Lions are starting a rookie quarterback, the Vikings still have a top-5 rushing defense, and the Lions are...the Lions.

So yeah, they'll pull off the upset.

/go vikings

Did you SEE the game last week? Rodgers was getting pressured consistently even after Urlacher left the game. And the Steelers' pass blocking is pretty lousy.

I'm wondering the same thing. I figured it was some big joke that I wasn't in on or something. If the Vikes don't win by 2 touchdowns I'll be surprised.

Over_Zealously_Apathetic 2009-09-20 11:06:14 AM
My RB pain: Reggie Bush vs. Derrick Ward. I'm leaning Bush, just out of the possibility of a big play...but Philly's D seems tough.

Will this be the week Cadillac gets hurt?
