That picture of John Boy Walton is so appropriate for the word "strife". JB grew up in the great depression and wore the same overalls since he was 12. When he graduated, his family so wanted to see him attend a prestigious college dressed in appropriate attire, that Grandma tailored him a suit from the tweed that was intend to be used when his grandpa died. I think they buried grandpa naked. It was pretty fortunate that they owned a lumber mill and had pretty decent carpentry skills. Otherwise, grandpa wouldn't be able to properly spin in his coffin when they replaced his grandson with another actor(minus the obvious birthmark on his face)
