Subby, if it isn't greenlighted, I still think this headline was well played.

\RIP Henry. He's driven off that great highway off ramp into the Great Beyond.

Sad.

My guitar it sounds so sweet.

Good-bye

I fondly recall one of the most overlooked and under-rated baseball movies of all time, Long Gone, in which Henry Gibson played Hale Buchman, with Teller as Hale Buchman, Jr.

I got the reference subby even without guinness' help (well, perhaps not the liquid kind). Well played indeed (probably my 3rd choice of his roles in order of remembering them).

I just saw Nashville for the first time recently. I thought Henry Gibson should have had a much bigger career. I just wanted to say that.

I have a daisy on my toe.
It is not real. It does not grow.
It's just a tattoo of a flower,
So I'll look neat taking a shower.

It's on the second toe of my left foot,
A stem and flower, but there's no root
--- because that wouldn't look good !
It's just a daisy on my toe.
My left foot loves my right foot so !

Goodnight funnyman.

The 'Burbs was a ridiculously awesome movie and he played quite a role in making that a fun ride.

Guess this calls for a special memorial viewing of The 'Burbs tonight.

Rest in peace, Mr. Gibson.

Used to work a call center job, got a call from the man one day. Didn't make the connection immediately due to the name, but the listing for "occupation" on the client info screen was a tip-off. Pleasant, polite man.

Would have thought he was much older he's looked old (yet the same)for the last 30 years. Always enjoyed him though in Blues Brothers, Kentucky Fried Movie, etc. Sad to see he died of cancer too.

"My congregation supports all denominations," he said on one show, "but our favorites are twenties and fifties."

Nope. The punch line was "But our favorite is the five-dollar bill." $20 was still a lot of money back then.
