As is the case most of the time (coughFalwellcoughRobertson), Xians don't like a lot of truth to muddy up their religion.

Scarab 2001-09-16 12:59:36 AM
It is not possibble.

'nuff said.

"some 'truths' are best left untold"

Explains christianity quite well in one sentence.

I'm guessing that ol' CAP is one of those guys who wants his Adams and Eves in nice, chaste, white robes. Aw, heck, get a robe for the serpent, too!

"Christianity has no place in school walls, just like facts have no place in religion!" -Superintendant Chalmer(?), The Simpsons.

And what would he suggest the natives wore instead? Boxer shorts? I know, giant burlap sacks. And boots to cover thier naked, naughty nude provocatively manly hairy ankles. And he should probably call National Geographic too. Tell them that before they do 'ethnic' pieces they cover those godless African tribespeople with sheets. Right over the head. Then we can watch non-offensive sheet covered people walk around thier non-offensive village because a cross would have been erected to cover the fact that they're godless heathens. Then when they do thier funny dancing and singing thing they can dub over their funny sounding satanic language with the words 'praise jesus' so that school children everywhere can know that all over the world people are exctly the same as they are and have all the same values and beliefs and there is no other way for humans to exist. I'll bet this guy has to be real careful in the shower so he can avoid accidental visual exposure to his own pee-pee. His pants probably have a cardboard piece that springs up when he unzips them so he doesn't get an accidental peek while going wee-wee.

If he can't look at it (or God forbid touch it) how does he have any accuracy when going to the bathroom?

Or is it best we don't know?

EggYolkEnema 2001-09-16 04:10:32 AM
Didn't Last of the Mohicans come out way before 1999?

EggYolkEnema 2001-09-16 04:12:45 AM
Never mind, it just looked a little confusing how the 1999 was after the title in parenthesis. It made it look like that was the year the movie came out. It was just the year the review was made I guess.

the second to last paragraph of the summary was pretty surprising considering the source. what i'd really like to see, though, is a CAP analysis of the bible.

FARK!!!! that movie ROCKED!!! I REALLY RECOMEND ANYONE to rent it!!! I saw it on school and everyone was taken back by it.

jspanish 2001-09-16 01:51:24 PM
Yes, it is a great movie. The book was really good too.

This is the website that dissed the "Picture of the Year" winning "American Beauty". While it may not be appropriate for the young'uns, it's not inappropriate for everyone. But that's what CAP would have you believe.

"Though not necessarily a sexual movie, there were many, many scenes of exposure of the flesh of the posterior of the Native Americans. Though this might have been the way of life of the Native American, some "truths" are best left untold. Even if the partial nudity was shown for the sake of "accuracy", the actors presenting their backsides for pay before 200 million viewers is sinful."

So showing it for free is A-OK with God?

Kthulhu 2001-09-16 03:27:04 PM
And why would CAP be focusing on Native American man ass anyways? Is he possibly a homosexual in denial, lusting for meat?

ambercat 2001-09-16 04:41:03 PM
Pulsarcat: I think most people where he lives pee outdoors.

substrate 2001-09-16 06:19:58 PM
Kthulhu, you're onto something. After I'm finished working here I'm going down to the local strip club and have them dance for me "for free, because God would want it that way".

meat 2001-09-16 06:46:24 PM
kthulhu: hey, i've never met the guy!

Man, you guys go to extremes around here! I'm part Cherokee AND a Christian. Of course I think it sucks that there are hardly any American Indians left!

Seeing a guy's behind is sinful? Oh please. I bet they didn't like the part in Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back where Jay's butt fills the screen and lets out a fart!

Some people have nothing better to do than find every single little thing wrong with every little thing. That's not what Christianity's supposed to be about. You're supposed to be worrying about yourself and stop getting on people's backs. If you think it's a sin to watch it, then don't watch it, and leave everyone else alone!

I wouldn't doubt some of them believe sex is ONLY for reproduction....
