For all you Canadians out there a warning: Never buy fish at the Real Canadian Superstore. They store it too high a tempurature and always buy the cheapest (oldest) fish they can find. The one and only time I ever did buy fish from them. I brought it home unwrapped it and nearly puked from the smell of rotting fish. When i took it back I offered to open the package for the woman at the service desk, but she quickly said "OH NO! don't do that. i know exactly what it smells like. A lot of people have to return this stuff."

Tip of the day: If you want to know if fish is fresh jsut smell it. If there is no fishy smell then it is under 2 days old. Mild fishy smell means 2 to 5 days old. strong fishy smell means over 5 days old and probably not a good idea to eat. If you can smell it through the packaging then RUN!

That poor bastard. Our good weed is $300 an ounce? Jesus. No wonder I never enjoy the crap I buy.

The one redeeming thing about Superstore is that you can get the idiot suit at the door upset by doing just about anything. Try walking in with a rubber chicken bulging in your coat and see what he says.

WARNING! DO NOT VOTE FOR HIM! I felt sympathy for the bastard and clicked on the link at the bottom. Leads right to a porno page. Be careful.

It leads to Stile's top 50 :) Just looking for some help friend.

Sorry, in the middle of watching a movie on TV. Anyways, the goal is to overtake the porn .. you know, people looking for tits and getting good humour instead, and enjoying it more :) Anyways, the show is starting again.. word.

Heh I worked at Superstore for about 5 months a couple years back. I had ZERO problems with them. Excepting the retarded boss-lady of mine, I was handling the "damaged" goods, and bring-backs. Needless to say, I didnt have to bring lunch to work and I got a wicked ass Discman out of it to boot! *brag brag* I make no apologies when it comes to stealing from major corporations. like Microsoft kids! pirate their OS for your own sick twisted needs!

Knew a girl who worked there that swore Superstore "brings out the worst in people". Cheap brand name stuff and lots of ethinic products, though.

And virtually every store designs their aisles like this (ack!):

ah !@$! ascii doesn't do what I want it to, as it gets translated in html..

anyway... basically you have straight aisled for 50% of the store, then aisles at the end of the straight ones on a 45 degree diagonal with 4 feet of space at the ends.

It ain't pretty.

I work at the Atlantic Superstore now. Same diff, it's just what it's called out east. My bosses are actually pretty cool, it's the customers that make me want to scream and pull my hair out.

I don't know about there but around here, if you anly payed part of the total on Debit card, you'd still owe the rest.

ScrappyMcGee 2001-09-16 03:58:54 PM
"only", not "anly". You don't have to be smart to work there.

This guy is all talk. He says he hates Superstore, but he still shops there. I am a poor student and I still refuse to shop in that dump. If you ask me, he deserved being raped by Superstore if he is that cheap/stupid.

fouff: you talked about using photoshop and an inkjet printer to modify the t-shirt. how is this done?

neapoi 2001-09-16 08:21:55 PM
Man, I remember shoping there when I was living in Vancouver... That place IS a dump..

ah well.. wadda are ya gonna do?

Raizok 2001-09-16 08:56:05 PM
Meat = He used T-shirt transfer paper for it. As I have with my LESBIANS RULE! T-shirt back in the day :]

Union members only making 15 cents above minimum wage? Worst union over!

fouff 2001-09-16 11:33:53 PM
Yes, it is the worst union ever. Meat: Raizok was right: T-shirt transfer paper. Make sure you vertically flip the image, otherwise text will appear backwards =]

meat 2001-09-17 12:20:41 AM
so, the printer ink goes straight on the t-shirt? that doesn't sound too permanent. how well does it work, and roughly how much does the paper cost?

fouff 2001-09-17 12:38:33 AM
The printer ink goes onto this special paper, which you iron onto a t-shirt. I made a "Tommy Hilfiger" shirt that way, but instead of "Tommy Girl" I put "Tommy biatch"... it looks really good... just print on a resonably high resolution. The ink will last as long as the t-shirt will :)

The paper can get expensive though... you're looking at up to a buck a sheet, so i recommend test printing the image on shiatty paper first to make sure you don't waste the good stuff. a lot of t-shirt places will do images for you too (dog's ear) if you want something that looks really really solid (like on sweaters), but again, it's pricey.

good luck with it.

meat 2001-09-17 03:29:16 AM
well, i'm looking to go into the t-shirt biz, so i want to do silkscreening. but this seems like it may be an easy and relatively inexpensive way to test out designs and do one-shot special order type stuff.

fouff 2001-09-17 05:58:05 AM
Definitely :)

Superstore is the next candidate to get a good shut down.
