Palin's idiocy sells, therefore Palin gets mocked...though, really there wasn't a whole lot of room for that, the woman is some form of unholy self-satire.

Michael Jackson's death sold, but the coup in Honduras, continued missile tests from North Korea and renewed missile tests by the U.S., and the American military withdrawal from Baghdad didn't.

This is what you get for news when absolutely nothing is given 10 seconds of credence or actual review unless it moves money around.

All national institutions of churches, whether Jewish, Christian, or Turkish, appear to me no other than human inventions set up to terrify and enslave mankind, and monopolize power and profit.

Thomas Pain.

Good job at leaving out parts to fit your beliefs.

Here is the FULL Quote:

All national institutions of churches, whether Jewish, Christian or Turkish, appear to me no other than human inventions, set up to terrify and enslave mankind, and monopolize power and profit.
I do not mean by this declaration to condemn those who believe otherwise; they have the same right to their belief as I have to mine. But it is necessary to the happiness of man, that he be mentally faithful to himself. Infidelity does not consist in believing, or in disbelieving; it consists in professing to believe what he does not believe.
It is impossible to calculate the moral mischief, if I may so express it, that mental lying has produced in society. When a man has so...

Yes, yes she is. There is well-reasoned, rational dissent which breeds intelligent discourse and should be tolerated by anyone with a brain, and there is Sarah Palin's ideology and methodology. Ne'er have the two met, and as far as I can tell ne'er shall they meet.

humm Obama is averaging 60% approval rating, and the smallest percentage of Americans are willing to admit that they are republicans in the last 75 years so i would love to know where the HALF of the country you are talking about it at. i am going to strongly suggest that you up your medication and come live in the real world for a while, in the mean time i am putting you on ignore don't take it personal its just that you are so stupid it hurts and sadly the only cure for someone as far gone as you are is death (not that i would encourage you to kill yourself but if you do want to give it a try there was a nice headline yesterday about a guy that used his car to cut off his head may want to give it a try).

Obama's approval rating is more like 52-58% depending upon where you get your propaganda from. It has dropped 3% just in the first 8 days of July. Once Cap and Trade Tax go into afect and people see excessive high costs for gas and electricity/heat, my guess is his rating will nosedive.

Wanna rub it in? REally get all "ha ha" with the Dems? Of COURSE you do. It's pretty much your only party trick. Well here yo go:

All truth, and it's incredibly sad that people would rather focus on MJ to the point that he leads CNN for almost a week straight.

As for Obama's fiscal policies. He can't even wait until the previous bailout money is divied out before proposing another, let alone unrolling a trillion dollar healthcare bill and pushing through cap and trade during a recession when more and more people can afford fewer and fewer bills/taxes/etc...

Honestly, if you ask me Obama's fiscal policy has been thus far very lukewarm in comparison to what the country needs. I personally would have been much happier had he focused less on bailouts and more on public works and spending for infrastructure and heavy industry modernization and maintenance, education, and the like. Cap-and-trade is counterproductive to the need for America to modernize its heavy industry and infrastructure, in my opinion. Health care reform needs to happen, and if done right could be integrated into a larger public works scheme, but that won't happen.

Give me a farking break: Palin couldn't handle running a state that has a smaller population than many counties in the Lower 48. Could it be she quit becuase there's a $3 billion budget deficit and the price of oil took a shiat? Nah, must be because the media's picking on her. Especially Katie Couric, she's really hard core.

I'll add some more to tell your friend regarding Sarah Palin:

Alaska has a smaller population than Milwaukee County, Wisconsin. Milwaukee County is a predominately Democrat county (it's so blue even the racist rednecks there vote democrat) and it's run by a Republican county executive.

It goes without saying the guy has had a target on his back for years, to include baseless ethics charges. But he hangs in there, and doesn't blame anyone when things don't go his own way. Contrast that with Sarah Palin, who quits when the going gets tough.

It's a very strange form of cognitive dissonance. Neocons have consistently shown that they are incapable of admitting error, so when they screw up as badly as they did from 2001-2008, the only way for them to deal with it is to withdraw into their own fantasy world.

Yes, it is. You really dont see the difference?

I guess a better question is, what exactly is your argument? Are you saying that believing in god is not as rediculous as believing in santa? Or are you saying that it's impolite to make fun of people that believe in sky-wizards?

Either way I disagree with you, but I'm curious as to exactly what kind of crazy i'm dealing with here.

My argument is that you can believe whatever you want, but you reduce yourself to a fundie's level when you act like an ass about it. Is calling a devout person a gullible idiot who can't have an intelligent thought one bit different from a fundie calling an atheist a godless heathen?

Er....yes, as it's completely accurate. Evolution proponents are hard on creationists around here too, do you admonish them for being 'just as bad'? Probably not as you recognize one side to be entirely correct and the other to hold backwards, indefensible beliefs that are harming the country. It's the same for atheists and Christians.

No it isn't, you twit. There is a difference between calling people who refuse to acknowledge a mountain of scientific proof because of their faith idiots(which they are), and claiming anyone who happens to be a religious person holds "backwards, indefensible beliefs that are harming the country". Explain to me how me being a Christian harms you or the country one bit.

And before you start, yes, people DO try to legislate religion. THEIR religion. Which kinda becomes stupid when you count up all the different branches of Christianity. And there are plenty of Christians who do believe in the separation of church and state. Ignoring that the Bible says to do that anyway, there is the problem of all the varying branches of Christianity. What is taboo in one is a-okay in another. Besides, as I said upthread, the people who try to force said laws through are CINOs. They ignore all the important parts of Jesus' teachings, namely Peace and Love for your fellow man.

Besides, only the fundies are stupid enough to deny evolution. The rest of Christianity is quite capable of understanding science.

Total BS.

Firstly, there is no such SSS classification as "WF".

Someone might make the weak attempt to claim it "really" is "4F", but I think an official draft board would make damn sure it was written clearly.

But more importantly, the last dated classification, 15 Dec. 72, occurs 5 years before the document being used was issued. (1977)

In My Humble Opinion, It's a total fake.
