Unlike airbus, people don't die on Boeing AC. Engineered murderous Airbus aircraft in this very situation would have lead to the deaths of many.

Who else? :-) They've been doing that route for a number of years.

/grew up flying on 747's BDA-LHR
//nothing else quite like it, though I've yet to try an A380

I, for one, am outraged. Someone needs to introduce legislation banning the lighting of farts on airplanes.

That's right, I had the baked beans and jalapenos with extra hot sauce.

It's what makes it work! Once it gets out, it stops working.

That is some scary shiit. If that happened while they were in route they would have been all dead.

This. There's several major (read bigger than Phoenix) international airports east of Phoenix that have discontinued nonstop service to Europe.

It makes more sense if you remove two of the words.

Oddly, it doesn't matter which ones. I'm partial to:

Emergency of 747, pants before or after noxious odor spilled cabin.

Its been a couple years now, but this is definately not new.
I took it in 2000, and again in 2002. Always very full, although with the economy as it is now, perhaps no longer.

That's precisely what burning electronics smell like.

Once you smell (and see) the MBS, you never forget it.

I did that to my absolute favorite 2 meter (VHF) radio a few years ago...got the polarity crossed and promptly cooked several vital components. The big hint should have been the constantly popping fuses.

Thankfully, I had several handheld radios as backups, so I was able to continue.

No, a 747 is not made by Scarebus. They'd have been just fine -- or didn't you know?

It's funny, Boeings have catastrophic failure while on the ground, Airbus has catastrophic failures during flight. I'd pick Boeing, though.

Yes, yes, yes, we all know how murderous the nasty SCAREBUS manufacturers are....is Boeing really paying people to advertise on Fark? Between you and zeio, I'm going to have to guess that the answer is yes. Shame on you, Boeing.
