Quick guide, if you want:

Double knit polyester - church
Double D silicone - Strip club

Wine - Church
Beer - Strip club

A slow and monotonous life leaving ready for the sweet release of death - Church
A fast downward spiral leaving you ready for the sweet release of death - Strip club

/Full disclosure: Been a very long time since I went to church.

As one who must regretfully say that I've been into both establishments, both are rather good at separating you from your money.

Normally the show is much better at the strip club tho, YMMV...

THIS

both nickle and dime you to death. At least Catholic churches generally don't tithe you 10% any more but the special collections add up.

That they do, but at least the Catholics don't water down the booze.

/Spent way too much time in church and strip clubs.

True, though I would say that the ones in church are generally 'cleaner' and the ones in the strip club are generally less hypocritical.

Why would I expect that? The people at the church are almost all religious people (or drug there by a religious person). Why would I expect them to be *better* than anyone? They already have one major count against them.

"After the man started helping out his strip club friend by paying some of her bills, Klootwyk allegedly learned his bank account information and began using his funds as her own."

I'm still amazed by the lack of security around our bank accounts. All you have to do is remember a single 10-digit number, and maybe an address. Worst case scenario, your target's mother's maiden name.

It is a very rare bartender that doesn't want to see me come back. I used to be one and if you have spent time behind a bar you know how to take care of your own. Actually dated a stripper for a brief period while I was mixing in Myrtle, but I learned my lesson there quickly.

I would say that you are correct.

Also the conversation in a strip club seems to be a little more light hearted. At church, especially with older folks, it tends to be more serious.

EZ Writer 2009-07-10 10:09:05 AM
This "stripper" thread is sorely lacking in pictures of strippers.

Over here in St. Louis the churches are the most segregated establishments around. I've pointed to more than one regular churchgoer that my strip club is more integrated than their church. They absolutely hate having to think about this. Some black women come up with the "I just need some time apart with people like me" answer - to which I understandingly nod and say "like white people and their country clubs, huh?"

jst3p 2009-07-10 10:15:32 AM
madblader: But you also meet crazier and most definitely uglier people (especially the hideous dogs you call women) at church than the t-t bar.

I can only assume you don't go to church much. Religious views aside, as long as it isn't an exclusively old folks church I can't recall having gone to any that didn't have a good number of hotties. There is a lot of church hate here, and most of it is usually deserved, but you are just wrong about this one.

If I had to choose between the two, I think I'd go with the strip club. At least I have some idea of what to expect.

If you really, REALLY need a drink, Catholic churches offer wine before noon on Sundays.

This. I'd rather listen to pagan rambles about the solstice than the dogmatic rants of a churchgoer anyday. At least the pagans don't waste their time aggressively trying to convert you.

Plus, a lot of the pagan chicks I've met are pretty hot and are more likely to put out. Can't exactly say that about the Xtian women I have met during my adulthood.

What the hell? A lot of the people at strip clubs are "good church-goin' folk". I've met more crazies at any church than I have at a strip club. The guys at strip clubs are just drunk.

The clubs are fun, then again I was friends with some of the girls and regulars so YMMV.

The drama is hilarious when not its not happening to you. Even the sane ones (those not seeking trouble or drugs) have drama follow them around like a dark cloud.

It was kind of awkward because I thought she was home with the kids and she thought I was out having a beer with the guys.

The clubs were fun in my 20's when I knew the girls and the game.

At 39 and married, not so much.

That drama bit is true. Because of my work and my old ways I have been in clubs from Montreal to Tampa, LA to NOLA and Vancouver to Mobile. I have seen it all, but I have never, ever met a stripper that should not be avoided like the plague outside of the club.

True for 99.99% there got to be a couple out there that are decent once they have been deprogramed. I had plenty of fun in strip clubs too. The game is much the same where ever you go. Hell even the club owners get wrapped up in the stupidity.

Sorry, that should have read "When I knew the girls and played the game." Missed a rather important word there.

Amazing how many clubs around the country are owned or run by former dancers.
