I think they're taking the concept
of "knee biter" a bit too literally.

I've made some bad puns, but that's one of the worst I've ever heard. Can I use it?

The Okapi is my very, very, very favorite animal. I have two model okapis, a set of Okapi postage stamps from Zaire, and a collection of photos of myself standing in front of the okapi enclosure at the San Diego Zoo grinning like a total fool. That baby is the most adorable thing I have ever seen, my own child included.

/Sorry, Tom; you were a stunning baby but no okapi

The chick I'm seeing took me to the zoo, and by her edict, the okapi is my favorite animal. I didn't have a say in the matter.

holy crap you people need to stop living in the 50s. just because its an interracial horse/zebra doesn't mean you need to keep it locked up and stare at it.

actually now that i look at it again it might have been a threesome with a horse, zebra and llama.

We have a pair at the Cheyenne Zoo in Colorado Springs. The male's always sniffing the female's butt while she tries to sidle away from him.

Yeah, they're phylogenetically forest giraffes. They're awesome critters. Usually pretty even tempered, ridiculously soft. I miss them!

/been lucky enough to be in with them free contact at two zoos
//never a baby, though.. envy!

Always love pointing out the Okapi to my friends when we look at our photos of the Honeymoon at Disney World.

It makes me sound smarter than I really am.....

Well you can't just say that with no reference, can you? I did not even GATFA (Glance At The...) but what are you squealing about? I do realize it's not my business when you squeal, but you brought it up.
