I don't really understand any of you farkers complaining about the first picture.
I think it's wonderful.
I'm going to go look at it some more.

What is that? If they wanted splice someone in to add color (pun...now intended :D) they could have used a less creepy angle/expression.

Barakku: A slideshow 50% made up of doubled images? The first one is "undetermined"? Wth?

The first of each set of pictures asks you "true or false" (lower left hand corner) The second one gives you the answer..... Don't worry, I missed it at first also.

kabloink: It's still hard to believe the Michael Jackson one was real. I know he just died I should show some respect, but he really did look like a freak in that picture.

I'll admit it: I thought it was Photoshopped because he bore such a striking resemblance to the paint huffer guy.

Don't visit his home site and portfolio unless you have an hour to kill - once you start looking at his work, it's hard to stop.

Yeah, I liked how the one with the trailers was "false" even though it was a real staging for a play. With no other context how is that false? It wasn't otherwise manipulated (unless I missed something subtle).

That's some really neat stuff. I admire someone who has that much whimsy and storytelling ability combined with photographic talent.

It is, and it's a real picture, as far as I know. Coconut crabs get VERY large, and are actually used to guard some plantations because they're just goddamn scary.

What? Can they actually attack people?! That thing looks like a horrible tarantula-lobster.

I'm surprised at how many on the left thought it was real, and were going all ZOMG NRA BBQ! on it, and most ppl I knew on the right were going, "yeah, right..."

Most of those had nothing to do with photoshop. Either they were staged or were mislabeled, which doesn't make the photo fake. The whole true/false thing is not very clear.

Not really, because they aren't fast or vicious, but you wouldn't want to put your finger in its claw.

Who the hell serves risotto at a soup kitchen? That's a little too time consuming and you have to watch that shiat like a hawk and stir it consistently.

"Miriam's Kitchen, a social service agency in Washington D.C." is the soup kitchen that serves risotto according to Snopes. It's kind of disingenuous to say the photo is fake when she is in fact serving free food at a homeless shelter.

It's actually an EST 2000 system. We use them in the Army, and they work pretty well for guys who need to brush up on their fundamentals. There's always a few guys who can barely score the minimum on a live-fire qualification, and it gives you a heads-up on what they're doing wrong, i.e. poor sight picture, rough trigger squeeze, unsteady position, constantly changing their eye relief, etc.

We'd usually go to the EST shoot-house a few days prior to a live-fire qualification range, just to knock the rust off, and to identify our problem children. You know, the guys who are still hitting less than 50% of their targets and you're running out of daylight, while everybody else who shot Expert or Sharpshooter is sleeping on the bus, waiting for them to score the bare minimum so you can farking go home.

I read up on coconut crabs and according to the all mighty wiki, they taste quite a bit like - wait for it - crab meat.

Wikipedia. Is there nothing it can't do?
