I got a new addition to my kitteh family on June 14th. Her name is Ember. She was a bit stressed at the shelter and wasn't feeling her best so I didn't post her pics here until now.

Direction-giving cat for NOOBIE-ville (cranky-ass computer won't recognize "quote" function for some reason) looks AZACKLY like my Wimsey (yes, Wimsey...as in Lord Peter Wimsey (new window)...except he's just plain Wimsey).

Big, handsome cat with the same thick white coat, same muscular build...and same tendency to tell people where to go.

He's the only white cat in my otherwise all-black clowder.
We tell him he's an 'undercover' ninja so he doesn't feel left out...and when there's snow on the ground he truly IS a ninja.
That boy just vanishes....

My roommate found this cute little kitten last week. She's absolutely adorable.



She's got a Facebook^ page now, too.

Poor little girl was really sick - lots of parasites. She's really sweet, though, and full of sleepy and cute. I'm starting to beg on the internet for help with her vet bills. It's silly, but, oh, well. I'll be silly for her if I have to.

That is very adorable. Looks like one of the torties is a half-and-half. :)

My little one is still recovering from her mass of botflies. She's feeling a lot better now that they and the other bugs are gone, though. I've never met a noisier little kitten. Very, very calico, and her eyes are turning gold. When she's all better, she'll be absolutely stunning.

/been fawning over a kitten for the last week.

Sorry for your loss.

Well, on the plus side, it seems that I live within walking distance of a pretty good viewing location for my city's fireworks display.

On the minus side, it seems that if you're small, gray, and furry, fireworks are kinda scary.

I got back home, and Kay was hiding under the bed. He's OK now, but he didn't like the noises at all. Mind you, he does essentially the same thing when it so much as rains (thunder not required).



In other news, my parents just told me that their kitty Hemingway has just been diagnosed with kidney dysfunction. He's been really mopey for a couple of days, but he has some special food now, and he's started eating again. We'll see how he does.
