An 83-year-old woman drove her car through the exit doors of a liquor store in Natick this morning

Nice driving. She may be one of the people in this picture:

We've just about had it with ancient drivers in this state. This is about the tenth accident involving elderly drivers here in the past month. Apparently, there are bills in the state legislature to recertify them more frequently. This should add some fuel to the fire.

He said he got a call from one of Brenkhorn's co-workers who said she had been pinned between the counter and a shelf full of liquor bottles.

I guess if you're going to pinned somewhere, there are worse places.

Unless during the seemingly endless wait for an ambulance, in a domino effect unavoidably instigated by the impact, one bottle after another leans its busted crown forward and trickles eversweet juices over your gushing wounds.

It was one of the dorky 6 cylinder powered ones. It looks tough but has lesser power than a lot of sedans out on the road.

You can tell from the single down turned exhaust instead of dual pipes out the back.

you can tell from the pic that it's a previous generation v6 mustang convertible (probably an automatic as it's driven by an old woman). the 5-speed version is pig slow, the auto will be even slower.
Link (new window)

hell, the 1.8l 4-banger in my daily driver is as powerful as that 3.8l v6 and my car weighs 450 lbs less.

I live in Mass, so I am really not getting a kick out of this. If they try to pass a law requiring blue hairs to get road tested..how long before the aclu starts their pissing and moaning.
It'll be "Oi, how can you just test the elderly...this isn't right"

Seldom is it the ACLU. More often it's either the Gray Panthers, or just the blue-haired Florida and Massachusetts legislators, who quietly and efficiently smash such laws like bugs on windshields long before they even get to committee.
