Would you prefer B. Hussein Obama?

And that's not just race-baiting - show a white guy that gets called a nickname that he last as a kid.

How about all the libruls who referred to Bush as Shrub?

That's not a nickname it's an insult. The question being asked is why is "Barry" used as an insult?

I'm so happy she is finally off the radar.

Now if we could get rid of McCain's chances of running in the future maybe we could concentrate on some real talent in Washington!

We need to get rid of the Looney Liberals and Wingnut Conservatives. Then we could get some real Common Sense Americans that really care about the people and not their own personal agendas.

shivashakti: shower_in_my_socks: Who's career will self-implode next?

Jindal? How did Jindal's career self-implode?

When he gave the most idiotic State of the Union response speech ever, including mocking the funding of volcano monitoring projects - and then a volcano started to erupt in Alaska like a week or two later, and air traffic was safely routed around it because they had plenty of advance warning. Which was because of... wait for it... volcano monitoring projects.

It seems the GOP pretty much stuck Jindal in a vault somewhere after that.

It's true. Liberal hate doesn't involve blowing up children in O.K.City, shooting down doctors, or massacring church congregations. It's like conservative hate, only without the bullets!

I wonder what kind of hate Islamofascist terrorists are, liberal or conservative?

/Classifying terrorism as "liberal" or "conservative" is so asinine

So is classifying "hate" as such. BTW - when you say "islamofascist" - other people's estimate of your intelligence drops by about half.

Why? It's what they are.

Because it is a florid and melodramatic coined word that attempts to conflate Islamic terrorists with a Italian political movement of the 1930s merely to achieve an emotional effect. It is also unnecessary. These people are Islamic terrorists - plain and simple. If you really think it adds power to your argument to coin dramatic words, why stop there? Why not call them Islmofascistocommunistchildmolestersatanworsppingbabyrapingcanibal terrorists? That would be even scarier!

trev29 2009-07-03 04:50:21 PM
Murphyr: trev29: Wow is her speech rambling. I vote scandal.

You're clearly not listening closely enough to the Fox News guy. That speech was from the heart and that's part of why everyone loves her. Don't worry if you missed it; he's repeating it every few minutes.

Then her heart is as retarded as her brain. What is frightening is how many people on the right love her for the simple reason that she pisses off the left.

CanisNoir [TotalFark] 2009-07-03 04:50:23 PM
Murphyr: Fox News is running heavily with the concept that this is the start of the 2012 campaign. And John Culberson (R-TX) claims that quitting halfway through a governorship is the kind of perseverance that we haven't seen since the American Revolution, and that the country will vote overwhelmingly for her.

The guy before him had some really good points though. Every time she left the state a hand full of her opponents would file an ethics violation against her; it's not hard to assume that it would get burdensome; especially if you're thinking of starting a campaign for 2012. 500k isn't exactly pocket money and that's just what they owe personally to defend themselves against cases that were ultimately dismissed.

I'm with Kristol on this one; it's a gamble if she's got eyes on the future, but it could turn out to be a winning one for sure.

Yea it was a rambly speech, but it wasn't scripted either so I'll give her a pass on the rambling due to bonus points for heart felt.

Not just strives for mediocrity, but re-brands and re-packages failure as success and then viciously attacks anyone who dares suggest she (and the Republicans) aren't helping to solve any of our problems in this country.

So instead of buckling down and doing some serious studying to develop the knowledge base needed to be successful, she just quits.

She's an embarrassment to all women.

She's an embarrassment to women, but not for the reason you imply. She just feels that if she actually has to do something useful and difficult--like run a state in economically hard times--it will chew up so much of her time to do the attention whoring necessary to be a presidential candidate. OTOH, she could get good notices by running her state well, but that would be harder than hitting the rubber chicken circuit.

That only holds if she stays in politics after her resignation as governor.

You do realize that "fascism" has been used for decades to refer to more than just Mussolini's crowd in the 1930s and 40s? It's become a generalized term referring to a desire for a kind of totalitarian government.

vertiaset: Sarah Palin was tailor made for Fark.

First, a Republican and a conservative. Second a fundamentalist Christian. Third, strong supporter of traditional values but with a pretty young daughter who was pregnant out of wedlock. Finally, and this is the capper, she is a reasonably attractive woman of the "MILF" variety.

SHE'S DUMB AS A FARKING BRICK. That's the magic ingredient! Half the shiat you just said applies to Huckabee, as well. But Huckabee isn't a farking know-nothing moron with laughable delusions of grandeur.
