So long as my alcoholism doesn't get me fired from mine, this is fine.

Better not piss him off or he'll get the constructor fleet to run a hyperspace bypass through here.

So long as my laziness doesn't... eh, fark it.

/already unemployed

The fact that he has a thyroid problem has NOTHING to do with the fact that he got lazy/stupid/careless and F'd up on the job.

If you can't do what you are PAID to do... then you have no business being there. That is a blanket statement for any person in any occupation.

Maybe he was hanging out with the Boston cops in the other thread

Y'know, if his problems really were caused by medical issues, in any other career, it'd probably be nice if kept his job. But not police work. People lives are on the line, and since there's no guarantee it won't happen again, he's gotta be farking gone.

FTA:
After a seven-month investigation, which turned up a locker full of illegal nunchuka sticks, criminal charges of obstruction of justice and possessing a prohibited weapon were laid.

Seriously? Nunchuks? What happened to you Canada, you used to be cool.

Not the whole weapon, just the sticks. So... I guess the chain/rope was missing?

Out here in the real world, I doubt my bosses would accept these excuses. If you don't do your job right, you don't have a job any more.

I hate losers who think they should have a job for life.

My doctor told me if my hormone replacement dose was mismanaged, I would experience palpitations or lethargy, weight gain or loss, and hair issues. Wonder if I can now add this as a reason not to do housework?

It's CANADA.

Doesn't that make it a Human Rights Violation(tm) ??!!!
