I dunno why, but the fact that this affair started up after them having known each other many years right around the time he was being talked about as a possible VP strikes me as suspicious (in terms of her motives).

I have a feeling that this guy really is in love with the argentinian. However, I also get the feeling that if his wife divorces him and he tries to go back to his mistress, she'll have nothing to do with him because now he's been disgraced and no longer has a bright political future.
