As far as I remember individual incidences of incest don't massively increase genetic problems, it is more a problem if very close relations repeatedly inbreed for a number of generations. If the family is known to have certain recessive genetic diseases then the chances of it being a problem is very significant of course.

When I was a kid there was a couple who played in the County Band and they'd bring their six kids with them to concerts.
Years later I saw that Gary Larson cartoon "Where Beef Jerky Comes From" and I immediately remembered that family.

It was widely whispered that the couple were brother and sister. The brother looked like...well...he was the most overlookable person I'd ever almost seen- biggest impression he made in a crowd was the sudden stop when people tried to walk through the space he was occupying. His wife more than made up for it- she kind of looked like a cross between a hypothyroid Harry Potter and Bullwinkle the Moose and had the social graces of a badger with hemorrhoids.
