Could they have found a less-pertinent photo to go with TFA? Also, "great and incalculable damage?" For playing a song? If it's "incalculable," I guess they won't be able to come up with an appropriate amount to sue for.

Pianos? They're suing Pianos?

I'm guessing that the bands aren't suing the club, butt hat it's the RIAA or ASCAP or BMI, up to their usual tricks.

to all bands, #1 make a cd pass it around DO NOT CHARGE FOR IT! #2 then make some t shirt and #3 do live shows and #4......... DO NOT SIGN TO A MAJOR LABEL! #5.. PROFIT!

this isn't the 70's-90's. major labels are dead. the only thing you will get out of it is shart like this!
some asshat that wants to get some cash of your work by suing your fans.. witch means that your fans think you are the asshat that is doing it, thus making you less money.
flame me .. but you know that i am right on this one.

the grateful dead and kiss both make more cash by licensing rights for the image of the bands then the get for the music.

Can anyone link a better version of that story? That was like hearing news filtered through a half-dozen mentally challenged children for whom English is not a first language.

Which is actually good, since both bands make horrible music yet have cool and edgy images.

On the Oprah show years ago, someone asked Barry Gibb what advice he would give to anyone thinking of a career in music.

His advice: "Get a lawyer."

Still rings true today...
