Don't worry. My mom doesn't have AC and I'm headed to the northeast to visit in a little over a week. So, your summer sun and heat wave will arrive.

It's one thing that it's raining everyday, but the mold that's begun to grow on everything outside - the deck, furniture, side of my house - is really making me insane.

what_now [TotalFark] 2009-07-02 01:30:05 PM
I can't get my towels to dry. I hang them up in the bathroom, and their still...damp the next day.

Also, ALL of my sundresses are sitting around...waiting.

:(

benlonghair [TotalFark] 2009-07-02 01:30:24 PM
I would kill for a week of 90* sunny weather. I have only driven in rain as bad as it was this morning twice in my life. Wasn't sure I was gonna make it into work. Wipers on high didn't even touch it.

Four sunny days in the entire month of June make benlonghair a sad Yankee.

Now that is truly a crime against humanity.

It's because all you heathens gave the gays the right to marry. You've doomed us all!

It's no better here in Maine. 23 of 30 days in June it rained. Has not reached 80 degrees since the 22nd of May. Right now it's 58 on the second of July!

Demetrius [TotalFark] 2009-07-02 01:45:26 PM
I'm in CT. I might as well be in freaking Seattle. The sun came out for a few minutes the other day and my eyes seized up and my skin started to peel off of my body from the exposure. It's gotten to the point where I have to leave my house in a boat and bring snorkel equipment just to get to work.

ThrnPhl [TotalFark] 2009-07-02 01:49:46 PM
This weather is driving me insane. We better have nice weather thorough October once it passes--if it passes.

I miss seeing girls in sundresses.

Hellooooooo...

Wait, WUT?

I spend my days indoors. I'm in Phoenix in July. I don't even like going out at night. My air conditioning stays cranked.

That, too. But I really miss swimming in my pool. I don't mind swimming in the rain, if it's not monsoon-like but the (almost) daily thunderstorms have made it impossible to even stand near it.

Mmmmmmm sundresses. I think it may be the greatest piece of clothing ever made.

I may murder you for that. 1.63" here last month, under 40% of average, and we had like 2 weeks of 95+ days.

I hear you. I made one of these (view E) about 3 weeks ago & haven't had a chance to wear it yet.

And it's so cute--pink dress w/orange trim. *sigh* One day...

I would kill for some farking global warming right about now.

But not to worry... I'm sure this rain will end soon and we'll head directly into a major drought. By September, the reservoirs will be at their lowest levels in a decade.

I'm 6-foot w/a 35" inseam. Had to learn to sew or pay REALLY ridiculous prices for stuff that fits. If I buy dresses off the rack, I either have to add something to the bottom, only wear them with leggings, or hem them to make them mini-dresses.

/You can learn to sew--it's really easy
//And making dresses is a cinch.

This reminds me of my favorite joke...

What's harder than my wang while I nuke the entire north-east?
Nothin'

What's great about the NE?
Nothin'

How many Union workers does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
Three one to screw in the lightbulb two to go on break.

How many NYers does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
None, there's no Union for that.

How many emo kids does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
None they just sit in the dark and cry.

Yeah, the original item opened with a picture of Charlton Heston as Moses....just proves that the Boston Globe is part of the Godless liberal media. Or that they're a bunch of dumbasses.

I have to make up for my state's lack of gay pride. what_now is threatening me with bodily harm unless my state follows the rest of New England.

Besides, they have some great antique shops in the P.

I wouldn't call it the worst weather. Yeah it's been raining a lot, but it's been in the mid 70s to mid 80s for nearly 2 months straight here in Philly. Beats the hell out of the 100 degree days last year.

vudukungfu 2009-07-02 03:58:59 PM
It's my fault.
It always rains on my days off.
I live in vermont.
For the second summer, I'm taking all 3 day weekends.

Madison_Smiled 2009-07-02 04:00:16 PM
I keep checking my fingers and toes, expecting to find webbing. Pretty soon we'll be burning people at the stake for saying that something called "the sun" even exists.

drongozone 2009-07-02 04:00:43 PM
I'm at the southern tip of Manhattan--but it might as well be the Ganges Delta in Bangladesh. Only a couple of monsoon episodes today. Sun brightly shining now, but the clouds over New Jersey, they threaten. However, I must admit I do enjoy seeing all those umbrella skeletons scattered around the sidewalks and stuffed into dustbins after a heavy cloudburst accompanied by strong winds.

Headso 2009-07-02 04:02:04 PM
The good news is all the rain runoff is turning my driveway into a cliff, pretty soon I won't be able to leave the house for work...

S_CG_Phoenix 2009-07-02 04:03:14 PM
I was woken up by a loud crack of thunder at 4am. It scared me =(
Then rained like a biatch up until 12 or so.
Why does it always rain on my days off?

I miss girls in wet, clingy sundresses.

No undergarments are a bonus.

I've a suggestion to keep you all occupied:

Learn to swim.

beoswulf 2009-07-02 04:05:34 PM
Weather is awesome here, this 99% cloud cover last few months has meant not a single patch of sunburn, normally July means being roasted. So this is what it feels like being a daywalker.

theorellior 2009-07-02 04:06:13 PM
On the bright--wait, it's been cloudy since forever. Okay, on the positive side, we haven't had to break out the AC for the bedroom window yet. On the negative side, I'm starting to get Seasonal Affective Disorder in July. And I'm very sad the Farkettes in the thread haven't been able to wear fun clothing. Remember, everyone, "sundress" is only one letter away from "undress".

Speaking of sewing, my wife can whip out a sundress in about three hours, tops.

I finally got a chance to mow my lawn yesterday because every single time I had a chance for the past 3 weeks, it rained.

It rained all day today, and last week our storm drain and sewer mains on the street backed up. Toilet paper, condoms, and tampons were all over the street.
