It's one thing that it's raining everyday, but the mold that's begun to grow on everything outside - the deck, furniture, side of my house - is really making me insane.

what_now [TotalFark] 2009-07-02 01:30:05 PM
I can't get my towels to dry. I hang them up in the bathroom, and their still...damp the next day.

Also, ALL of my sundresses are sitting around...waiting.

:(

I would kill for a week of 90* sunny weather. I have only driven in rain as bad as it was this morning twice in my life. Wasn't sure I was gonna make it into work. Wipers on high didn't even touch it.

Four sunny days in the entire month of June make benlonghair a sad Yankee.

It's no better here in Maine. 23 of 30 days in June it rained. Has not reached 80 degrees since the 22nd of May. Right now it's 58 on the second of July!

Demetrius [TotalFark] 2009-07-02 01:45:26 PM
I'm in CT. I might as well be in freaking Seattle. The sun came out for a few minutes the other day and my eyes seized up and my skin started to peel off of my body from the exposure. It's gotten to the point where I have to leave my house in a boat and bring snorkel equipment just to get to work.

I'm 6-foot w/a 35" inseam. Had to learn to sew or pay REALLY ridiculous prices for stuff that fits. If I buy dresses off the rack, I either have to add something to the bottom, only wear them with leggings, or hem them to make them mini-dresses.

I wouldn't call it the worst weather. Yeah it's been raining a lot, but it's been in the mid 70s to mid 80s for nearly 2 months straight here in Philly. Beats the hell out of the 100 degree days last year.

drongozone 2009-07-02 04:00:43 PM
I'm at the southern tip of Manhattan--but it might as well be the Ganges Delta in Bangladesh. Only a couple of monsoon episodes today. Sun brightly shining now, but the clouds over New Jersey, they threaten. However, I must admit I do enjoy seeing all those umbrella skeletons scattered around the sidewalks and stuffed into dustbins after a heavy cloudburst accompanied by strong winds.

theorellior 2009-07-02 04:06:13 PM
On the bright--wait, it's been cloudy since forever. Okay, on the positive side, we haven't had to break out the AC for the bedroom window yet. On the negative side, I'm starting to get Seasonal Affective Disorder in July. And I'm very sad the Farkettes in the thread haven't been able to wear fun clothing. Remember, everyone, "sundress" is only one letter away from "undress".

Speaking of sewing, my wife can whip out a sundress in about three hours, tops.

At this very moment trillions and trillions of mosquito larvae are smiling as the rain softens our will to live. They're just biding their time, waiting for the sun to come out and give us false hope for a happy summer. Then they'll hatch. They'll come in squadrons. exposed skin will will have welt upon welt. You will be weak from lack of blood and will happily douse yourself with carcinogenis chemicals in search of relief. They'll just laugh at your attempts at relief and keep sucking.

Anyway, have a nice day!
