what would be funny.. would be if they actually hit some whales or something, then those annoying PETA morons could go over there, ruffle some feathers and get killed.

Wait a second... shouldn't there be something actually referring to seagulls in the article before we applaud the headline? What am I missing?

eqtworld: Is all that Iran shiat over now?

That was annoying, but now it's off the news so that's good.

Yea, that was a big stretch to get that headline. Can I just make random 80s references in headlines and get lauded?

For North Korea this amounts to a "welp" as they basically got their asses handed to them here when they tested that long range previous.

/BEWARE SHORT RANGE MISSILES! WE CAN SHOOT THEM INTO THE SEA!

Not to pop everyone's make fun of asians bubble, but Koreans can actually pronounce the letter L. It's Chinese and Japanese that cannot. Now have a Korean say R and we have another funny stoly. My favorite phrase... I so solly.

I'm gonna go with... Yes, with a qualifier of: If they are funny and strike a deep cultural chord with an amazingly well remembered one hit wonder band that had no talent, terrible hair and questionable fashion sense.

No, I'm quite aware of the 80s band. The point is that a reference in a headline is supposed to have something to do with the article. As Car_Ramrod pointed out, random pop culture references having nothing to do with the story are pointless. Hey, I can do it: "North Korean missile goes nowhere near Europe. The Final Countdown is on!"

Not only is this a repeat story, it is an out-of-date repeat story. NK fired at least 4 short ranged missiles, as the link from earlier today states.

And I will not give a + anything for this headline. It is beyond tacky, and it doesn't bear any relevance to the story, beyond the missile test firings.
