More to the point of this article, maybe this will pare down that awful Iranian arrogance a little bit. As a half-Pak American myself (I tip my hat to whoever came up with AfPak) I can't stand how Iranians look down their noses at everybody else. As such I am extremely delighted with this outcome even though it's just a junior basketball game :)

Short explanation - people can't take a joke.

It may have been an inappropriate joke, but it still was a joke.

As some back story, he essentially did a version of a spoof song that was originally written when Bush I was in office, joking about bombing Iraq during the first Gulf War.
