Looks like I chose the perfect time for my greeting card boycott. It's ridiculous how much generic, mass-produced pieces of paper cost and how much people spend on them. Mother's Day? Father's Day? Anniversary? Sister-in-law's wedding? Nope to all 4 within the past couple of months.
