The man has garage sale gold.

All he needs is a connection in a different town to sell the stuff for him.

Has anyone seen Latoya since he died? Me neither. Looks like my theory was, in fact, true.

Give John Landis some credit, he co-wrote and produced it.

NO, John Landis co-wrote and produced the video. The SONG was Micahel's.

Actually, the song was written by Rod Temperton.

And produced by Quincy Jones.

They did this with a dumpster baby at my college.
HEY IDIOTS! THOSE TOYS AND THE MONEY AND ENERGY SPENT COULD BE BETTER USED BY THE CHILDREN AT THE ABUSED FAMILY CENTER!!!
They actually stationed cops there to stop us from taking the LITTER (yes, it's litter) and giving it to the Goodwill, domestic violence center or other charity. It was out in the elements so once the sun set the animals could get at them. And it rained that week.

So the article doesn't quite explain the arrangement there.

Does he own this home?

If so, seems like a nice guy doing this out of the goodness of his heart.

But the article calls him a caretaker. So is he actually paid to watch MJ's childhood home or live there for free under some agreement or something?

Does MJ's estate actually own this home? His quote about "Somebody's got to stay here" makes me think his job is looking after this home.

If so, he's just doing his job as a small time representative of a multi-million dollar brand.

Gawd this is hilarious.

Whenever people start stacking the teddy bears and mounding the flowers, I always ask wtf? I mean, I know that everybody wants to express how they think that they've been affected by something that they've heard about (as opposed to something experienced directly and personally), but I wonder if that lady with the big gorilla (see photo in the farking article) could put her money and time to better use...hell, I don't know, making a donation or volunteering with a worthwhile cause in her community or giving that gorilla to a toy drive.

This reminds me back to the weeks and months after Flight 93 went down outside of Shanksville, PA. People were coming to the site and leaving, in addition to the usual flowers and teddy bears, all manner of garbage and rubbish. One night on the news, a person representing the National Park Service said that some people were leaving stuff like old sinks and broken fridges and he said that they couldn't throw the items away (for use in a memorial later) so they were paying to store them in large containers.

Madness.

lukelightning 2009-07-01 02:49:45 PM
If someone dies by getting mauled by a bear, is it appropriate to leave teddy bears at the memorial?

Ponzholio: If you're going to leave toys and stuffed animals at dead celebrity memorials that you've never met (Michael Jackson, Diana, Heath Ledger, Spencer Pratt (God willing), etc.) instead, donate them to thrift stores or orphanages where they will actually be appreciated...

I'm guessing most of that will be donated to thrift stores anyhow.

Unless his family decides to sell it in an auction to some obsessed fan or Todd McFarlane

I swear to God I'd pay $1000 to see him walk outside, pour gasoline all over that pile of stuffed animals, and light it on fire. Extra $500 if he then would roast a hot dog over it.

Soooo, where were all of these supporters when Michael was being crucified and almost bankrupted over accusations of being a child molester?

I don't recall anyone but some star friends of his standing up for him when the witch hunters were determined to hang him by his balls for a crime I seriously doubt he committed.

With all of these supporters, had they sent in $1.00 each, he would not have had to close Neverland and auction off property to pay his hideously high legal bills.

Michael was an eccentric. I do not believe he was actually a child molester. There is a real mental condition where adults have problems blending into adult society and tend to seek solace in childlike fantasies where things are simpler and nicer. They enjoy the company of children, since kids tend not to act as firmly and bluntly as adults.

Chances are, had his fans supported him more during those trying times, he might have been healthier and still be alive today.

BTW. I'm not a big fan of his work, but I found the feeding frenzy over his child molestation accusations to be disgusting and deliberately hyped for television ratings.

Just wait 6 months, claim the 'ghost' of MJ is haunting the house, charge $100 a night for people to come and try to communicate with him.

Brilliant. Idea is patent pending. I get 90% royalties.

FTFA - Fossett said he would deliver two large posters signed by fans to the Jackson family when he travels to Los Angeles for the funeral. Family members also asked him to collect photographs placed at the makeshift memorial, he said. The rest of the items will be donated to charities.

"We want to make sure the kids get them,
" he said.

Nice to see some good come out of this.
