Wait, those people are dead too.

Wow! Who woulda thought....

Well, it was kind of embarassing before, but now that he's dead, it's cool again, right?

Spaztictacular 2009-06-26 04:07:40 PM
I have Rhapsody and downloaded Thriller in addition to his Number Ones CD. Good to listen to again after a long, long layoff.

Ok, let's kill Elvis first for gods sake!

sonico 2009-06-26 04:07:49 PM
This is only a rational response to his death. When they run out of teh mp3s they will all be collector's items!

That's not true. I heard he choked to death on an 8-year-old wiener

I've been watching MTV for the past 2 hours or so and forgot about how...epic? grand? his videos used to be.

Beat It, Thriller, Bad are all amazing. Then they played Remember the Time (Eddie Murphy in a music video!) and Liberian Girl had more stars in it than Ocean's 11. Liberian Girl (new window). Just look at that cameo list! BILLY DEE MOTHER farkING WILLIAMS!

Slam Dunkz 2009-06-26 04:12:34 PM
Of course the irony was that he had money problems before he died, now he's making a nice infusion of cash postmortem.

Huskadoodle 2009-06-26 04:12:37 PM
The radio has been all Jackson all day

Lenny_da_Hog 2009-06-26 04:12:51 PM
I envision millions of 30- and 40-something emo chicks took the day off to cry and listen to "You are not Alone."

Rann Xerox: What happens when Scott Stapp dies? I don't have a clue but let's do it anyway.

People will move on like nothing happened. Scott Stapp doesn't even compare to Michael Jackson, period. Not musically, talent wise, or otherwise.

I was in a Half Price Books this afternoon looking for Roy Ayers and saw a dude cheer and bolt after finding a Jackson Five record.

Thanks for nothing, you farking A-holes! Where were you when Michael needed the hush money to pay off the children?

I've noticed a similar trend in sales of Jeff Goldblum's movies since yesterday as well.

Does anyone care or realize that MJ was irrelevant to the music industry for at least 20 years prior to his death? It's not like he was John Lennon or Elvis for Chr...oh, wait.

TeddyRooseveltsMustache [TotalFark] 2009-06-26 04:16:22 PM
I was buying Michael's music before he died. People are so fickle. They acted as if buying one of his albums would make others label them a pedophile, or make others say that supporting Michael is supporting pedophilia. But now that he's dead it's suddenly okay to like his music again? fark those people. Some of us have loved his music all along.

Where I live there are multiple stations that you can select from so I haven't heard one Michael Jackson song all day.

I don't care if Stapp's "music" moves or doesn't move. It's the "dead" part that intrigues me.

MBK: I've been watching MTV for the past 2 hours or so and forgot about how...epic? grand? his videos used to be.

It takes a death of a pop legend to get MTV to show videos again.

I already have Thriller on vinyl (who doesn't?) and Off the Wall too. Plus I have the Jackson 5 greatest hits CD. Plus I have pandora on my iphone and made a 'michael jackson' station.

So I'm all set.
