This is her sixth time. I believe the Court can mandate that after the first couple of times, they don't even need permission anymore. I could be wrong.

Where'd you get your law degree? The police can write up a warrant and if a judge signs it they can take your blood for a test whether you consent or not if there's probable cause.

They usually don't go that far. Most places will revoke your license for a year or more for refusing to give blood, breath or urine samples. You don't have to have really done anything but you're still going to lose your license.

If the Court proves you have means, you are not eligible for a Public Defender. With her obvious history, the Prosecutor's office probably has her file hotlinked from their desktop.

Several years ago I stopped at a local bar for their cheap burger night. A guy in his mid-20s was sitting down the bar from me and walked over to ask if I would sign his probation log that he attended his mandatory AA meeting that day. He became extremely pissed off when I said NO and suggested he leave before I called the cops on him.

Some people just don't get it. . . If we're lucky they'll only end up killing themselves.

Our cops call the ambulance....which means me. And they call when I'm all out of ambulances because they're on 911 calls. I can't tell them to pound sand because blood draws are time sensitive. It makes life difficult.

This is another incident proving MADD is a failure. They go batshiat insane over a first time low BAC DUI where the only reason you get pulled over for is leaving the bar. That was never the purpose. They were started to get PROBLEM drunks off the road. Drunks like this one with now 6 DUIs.

Yet after all these decades we still hear about the problem drunks out there. Why is that? The answer is MADD spends all of it's time and effort doing their best to destroy average people that make a dumbass mistake and but still haven't hurt anybody.

To all the people calling for her head- this is Wisconsin; not having a DUI is becoming more common than not having one it seems. A 60 year old guy got his 7th DUI two counties away from there and only had to do 30 days, pay about $3k in fines and take a 3 year suspension on his license. While these people should not be on the road it is testament to our liquor lobby. It all kind of becomes moot to take their licenses away because they still have to get to work.

Of course it is. Actually solving a problem means that you're no longer needed or wanted and you then have to go find honest work. Now we can't have that can we? Not when you can keep the problem going and keep raking in the truckloads of money.

I can't believe they're doing blood tests now, sometimes in the police vehicle??? I remember drunk drivers back in college, drunk and stoned, having squeezed 9 people in a coupe and doing 90 on a city street. Scarier than any rollercoaster ride you've ever been on.

Years ago, we were driving back from a party, my pal is plastered, I'm shotgun. 5 people in the car, and we all realized we shouldn't have been there. First we run a red, nothing came out of that. Then we get to campus, where the driver realizes his highbeams are on. Unable to switch them back to normal, he turns them off and on (high) repeatedly. At 3AM, on a Friday night they're waiting around every corner, the police that is.

We get pulled over, we all have marks on our hands. "So you guys coming back from a party are ya?" I answered quickly, "Yeah we are." "Have you guys been drinking?" I tuck the J I had rolled away somewhere. "No officer, we got to the party kinda late. We got there just as the cops showed up. We just got ripped off... none of us managed to get a drink." He responds "Haha, yeah, we do that." As if they break up parties all the time (and they do).

My pal gets out for a sobriety test. His first, he tells 'em he's nervous but he gets through it. He's a little guy, 5'6 or 7, and we all drank far into the double digits. So now comes the breathalizer after everything and I'm certain he's done for. Instructed to make a seal with his lips, he doesn't and loosely blows through the machine. Somehow he bangs out something under .08 or a flat 0. Twice.

We couldn't believe it. We get back after 30 minutes and on our way. Not 20 feet later, he's still trying to play with his lights. We're all yelling at him to stop, and blam, the lights pop up behind us. The same thing. This time we were all laughing, and thinking it's a joke. This cop was serious and didn't know we were the ones stopped a few moments ago. He's very angry with us and orders the driver out of the car. We start yelling at this cop, your partners just pulled us over, what the hell are you doing? Go ask them.

He gets on the radio somewhere behind us, comes over to the driver and shows him how to turn his highbeams off by pulling the lever in and we're on our way. Lucky night.
