i'm so sorry that any music fan anywhere is ever made to feel bad for making the effort to listen to music.

True

As much as I don't care for Moby - I have to agree with him on this. The RIAA is absolutely despicable.

I, I...have to admit that (sigh) I agree with...M-M-Moby. Oh why RIAA must you force me into this?!

As a techno DJ, I'm with you.

For a long while I just assumed "Standing outside a broken phone booth..." by Primitive Radio Gods was a Moby track. Man did he run with that idea of theirs.

/Fark music thread.

Moby's a douche and his music sucks, but he's right here.

Moby's not a douche. His music isn't to everyone's taste, but the man himself is one of the more intelligent and classy figures out there right now.

And always feels sorry for everything, unfortunately.

I dont care for Moby BUT i do commend his attitude. After seeing his MTV Cribs episode years ago, I developed a stronger appreciation for him. His loft has 2 pieces of furniture. He is a really bare bones guy.

But I don't like how people listen to him just because hes Herman Melville's great grandson. (he is, or some relation). Its like...

I'm a big fan of Elvis Perkins, and hes the son of the late Anthony Perkins. And thats cool and all, but thats not why I like him.

/back to the RIAA hate
//Mobys not bad. The only album I have by him is Play. Its solid.

Dissolved...I hope he meant in a giant vat of acid and not just some legal thingy.

If Eminem dissed him he can't be all that bad.

FTFA: i don't know, but 'it's better to be feared than respected' doesn't seem like such a sustainable business model when it comes to consumer choice.

Very true. Sounds more like something you'd hear out of, I dunno, Tehran or Pyongyang. Maybe even Moscow.

Good point.
Incidentally, I'd like to defenestrate the person who convinced Moby that he could sing.
