You don't get up in front of people who paid £45 to see you and tell them that, awwww, you can have your money back if you want it.

People will want their money back.

At their next concert, I hope everyone shows up with a sackful of Philadelphia party favors D cell batteries.

At the end of gig, Noel said: "Thank you very very much, this is a free gig - let's have it.

"Anybody who has kept their ticket will get a full refund."

Apparently, he thought they deserved a refund at the time...

Dumbass. If you tell people they can return their ticket for money, they wil return their ticket for money.

So... They're looking back in anger?

Oasis isn't quite the spunky junky freshness they once were; however, they had such a downer performance at ACL that my friend just HAD to see that I was surprised. It was almost like the Ramones sneaked in and retuned their guitars for them. The nihilistic attitude dripped off the stage, and I have to say it was much more impressive with mind thudding chunky guitar parts than I would ever have thought to hear from candy-floss Oasis.

/but this event?
//yeah, be a man, stand by your word and pay the fans back
///and then play a free concert in the same area to show you're not sore

Next Oasis concert: pay as you exit.

You missed the joke entirely, son.

Way to go, Oasis, for alienating your hometown fans. Could you be any more stupid than that?

That was a dumb thing to say.

I've hated this fark since day one. Why the fark is he still relevant? Who keeps buying their whiney, monotone, off-key, uninspired crap?

i met gallagher once, the prancing fruit one, not noel and he bummed 5 bucks off me for a beer, i gave it to him but wiped a karma booger on his soul...its paying off...

meh, it's easy to hate Oasis (funny, my hands wanted to type Genesis (meaning the later stuff after Peter Gabriel left (i.e. ABACAB forwards)

my point about seeing them at ACL was the part of their gig I saw, was none of the pop-song candy-floss. The tunes were down and heavy -- big thudding crunchy guitar parts to get you there. I marveled at that some before convincing my friends to leave. The crowd queue waiting for the mass transit bus sang along with the pop hits as we obediently wound our way singing along with the same people -- most were singing along.

/weird ACL moment
//glad when it was over
///the bus had AC and no chapagnesupernova

\kumbaya with the band from a distance was enough

/but this event?
//yeah, be a man, stand by your word and pay the fans back
///and then play a free concert in the same area to show you're not sore

Whatever you think of their music, you can't deny that the Gallaghers are a gigantic pair of Wentzes.

danduran 2009-06-21 07:10:51 PM
Doesn't he have a point? People stayed for the show, and now want their money back? He's just calling them 'cheeky', which is probably right.
