I hear they're playing all of Toys in the Attic. Should be cool. Going to the show at Nissan Pavillion (NoVa) on Sunday.

Aerosmith before Get A Grip = Good
Aerosmith from Get A Grip on = Lame

Thanks for sharing--now I know not to leave my house on Sunday since every road will be a traffic jam!

Aerosmith is still enjoyable--I like their old stuff the most.

That's a pretty good summary. I own everything they put out up to Get a Grip, after that only a handful of cherrypicked songs from itunes. And Honkin on Bobo, which is pretty cool.

FTFA:

"For the tour, which kicked off this week, "Guitar Hero" fanatics can rock out with Aerosmith, and a few lucky ones will be able to open up for the band - playing the video game on stage in front of thousands.

"We're actually inviting some kids in the audience to come up and be the opening acts for us along with ZZ Top. They get a chance to come up to jam with Joe and Joe's going to play with them and do what he does so well," frontman Steven Tyler said."

Just what I want to waste time and money watching--kids playing Guitar Hero on stage.

/wouldn't go, anyway
//Loves RockBand, but wouldn't watch someone play it in an arena, fer cryin' out loud

They should also be grateful for Run-DMC.

YES, thank God RunDMC wrote a great song like Walk This Way to help Aerosmith start a great pop career in the 80's. My favorite RunDMC song of all time is Draw the line, although Jam Master Jay's awesome bass line at the beginning of Sweet Emotion makes it a tough choice.

I'm not a RunDMC fan by any means, but Aerosmith was pretty much on their way to obscurity before RunDMC did that cover. I mean really, have you heard Night in the Ruts? Don't get me wrong, Aerosmith rocks. Seen them twice in concert back in the day, (once late 70's and again in the mid 80's.) But yeah. RunDMC definitely gave them a BIG push back into the spotlight.
