I've always liked Shakira. She does a lot of charity work and provides a better example for little girls than, say, Britney Spears. At least Shakira has an ethnicity of which she's proud other than 'redneck' and some dance skills other than butt-shake. The videos tend to dumb down her choreography -seen live she is reminiscent of what'd happen if Josephine Baker and Twyla Tharp somehow collaborated in this decade.

Were I casting a musical version of Christopher Moore's 'The Lust Lizard of Melancholy Cove,' I would try to have her play Molly Michon.
