ill have to give the rest of these a listen later.

i cant put my finger on top of it....theres some je ne sais quoi to that song. i feel like i know this voice/style.

its alt-country, but some nick caveishness.

Is this for . . . bizarro Austin? Lived here over 10 years, spend at least a night or town downtown each week, and I am sad to say I haven't heard of ANY of those.

Yeah, you may be right. They may have advanced past the point of being a regional band now. They may be in a different league than the other bands in the contest.

They do absolutely ROCK, though

Haven't heard their recorded stuff, but I can honestly say The Sword is one of the most boring live bands I have ever seen. Tunes weren't that great either, I don't get what makes people swoon over that band so much.
