Yes but that 17% represents 90% of the real Americans.

I wouldn't be surprised if they wanted to tear down the Statue of Liberty because "his" plane used it as a backdrop.

Yeah, they're willing to make sure their fellow Americans lose their jobs to save them from Obama's evil clutches. Now that's patriotism!

The level of flip-flopping by fatass is stunning:

Rush Limbaugh Buys Belinda the Jeweler a Car to Beat Post-Election Blues (pops)

FTFA: "I thought he was kidding at first," Belinda Davis told CNSNews.com, "talking about (President-elect Barack) Obama and how he will take everything away, so he would give me a car and Obama could take it away."

But days later, Davis was driving a 2009 Chevrolet Tahoe, courtesy of Limbaugh, whose only conditions for giving her the car was that she try his recommended cold medication and that the car be made by General Motors.

Nice going, you moran.

It is your patriotic duty to destroy the careers and livelihoods of millions of Americans if it harms the credibility of someone who does not agree with you.

I think Rush Limbaugh continues to do what he always does. He is having other people fight battles for him. They suffer any consequences, while he reaps any benefits. He's now an economic chicken-hawk.

He is actively working to destroy America just so he can say America crumbled under Obama. Rush Limbaugh is actively trying to bring America to its knees and turn it into a 3rd world country... I bet so he wont have to travel so far to have sex with children.

Those were the days when they were in power, and if America was prosperous they could take credit. Now, they are not in power and they somehow think if America implodes they can blame their adversary, and the electorate will see the error in their ways by booting them out of office.

I think this is called extortion. "Vote us out of office and we'll crater this f*cking country just to show how powerful we are. Vote us back into office and we'll use that power to enrich our friends and will go a little easier on you..."

I actually love this stuff. You ever see some guy at work get fired for malfeasance, some go quietly into the night and move on with their lives... others make it their mission to prove they were right and the company is evil.

Republicans have become the latter.

1) Denial - Check
2) Anger - In progress

4) Depression - Planned for Winter 2010
5) Acceptance - Never

eqtworld: I thought the Bush white house had to basically push through the first auto bailout while democrats in the house and senate opposed it.

==

President George W. Bush stepped in Friday to keep America's auto industry afloat, announcing a $17.4 billion bailout for GM and Chrysler, with the terms of the loans requiring that the firms radically restructure and show they can become profitable soon.

"If we were to allow the free market to take its course now, it would almost certainly lead to disorderly bankruptcy," Bush said at the White House, in remarks carried live by the national broadcast networks. "In the midst of a financial crisis and a recession, allowing the U.S. auto industry to collapse is not a responsible course of action. The question is how we can best give it a chance to succeed."

Bush said that "bankruptcy now would lead to a disorderly liquidation of American auto companies."

"My economic advisers believe that such a collapse would deal an unacceptably painful blow to hardworking Americans far beyond the auto industry. It would worsen a weak job market and exacerbate the financial crisis," he said. "It could send our suffering economy into a deeper and longer recession."

The money will come from the Wall Street bailout passed by Congress, a reversal for the White House. President-elect Barack Obama and Democrats had long advocated that course, and Bush had resisted it.

I don't think most Americans need any extra encouragement not to buy GM cars. That's pretty much how we got to where we are. I haven't owned one since 1990, but that has nothing to do with politics.

If I needed a truck I would only buy a Chevy Silverado Ext. Cab 4x4. They make some of the best trucks on the market.

If GM is successful in bringing over their European/Australian models and keeping the same quality, you would be an idiot not to at least test drive one.

The financial incentives combined with a decent vehicle is what you should consider, not some fat f*ck's personal vendetta against his boogeyman.

I will agree on the Ford F-150. Drove my friend's a few weeks ago, loved it. However, I've always liked Chevy trucks, you know how it is.

Nissan and Toyota? No way. They are too new to the truck game. Ford or Chevy is the only way I'd roll, if I needed a truck. I have plenty of friends who love their Toyotas and Nissans. Meh... No thanks. Though, to be honest I've never driven one, just in one.

What I really don't understand is the lack of diesel vehicles here (separate topic, but yes, I know there are different emission standards here).

GM, Ford, etc. all have European models that could be used here in the US with some minor modifications. Many other Farkers have pointed out how nice the GM / Ford European models are and how fuel efficient they are, so I'm really at a loss.

C'mon now. If you've driven around in a beat-to-shiat Toyota Hilux (diesel) in Latin America, you know how durable they are. |-)

Next time you are at the gas station, look at the price of regular unleaded, then look at Diesel. Refineries here make less Diesel... We could fix that, but the logistics would be ugly.

Also, the european/asian lines are coming. Ford will be first, GM will follow. Diesel? Doubt it, but the car lines are coming.

CraicBaby: Yeah, like all those rednecks are gonna give up their Chevy Silverados and Dodge Rams and start buying Toyotas.

Um, where I live they are. There are still plenty of Chevy and Dodge vehicles on the road because of the used market, but the foreign jobs are getting allot of the new market.

Also, just because someone doesn't support the boycott, doesn't mean they want to buy a GM product.

That's what I don't get now. I filled up yesterday for $2.79 (regular gas) and diesel was $2.44. That was the first time I'd seen diesel cheaper than 'regular' gas, but I don't drive that much and don't fill up that often. So it might have been this way a while in my area, I don't know. I also don't know if this is the case in other areas.

And the European Ford and GM vehicles need to get here sooner than later. There is a demand here, whether they want to believe it or not.
