me as well. dave may be a dick and blah blah blah, but megadeth kicks ass. blabbermouth kills my browser so it's no longer my homepage, glad I saw the link here.

Well considering United Abominations was just that, fans of the band are still optimistic...

I'm glad it's not just me... I've all but stopped going there any more.

Wow, you people ganged up on me.

I personally stopped caring about Megadeth a while ago, but that clip sounded a hell of a lot better than United Abominations (not that hard, but still).

Anyways, I can't wait until Destroyer 666 releases their new album. Which, if the preview song on their Myspace page is any indication of the rest of the album, will be quite awesome. I've waited 6 years for this album, so I'm geeking out about it.

Now this is odd.

My profile says that my SHMHC entry was approved, yet it is not showing on any of the tabs.

Haha I was right! (You'll see)

Protip: Links that are approved don't show up right away - they sit in TF to rack up posts and stop the queue from getting clogged. Case in point: Photoshop threads

I love Destroyer 666, but MD stil comes out w/a good song from time to time.
The new guitarist is awesome, but I still miss Marty.

Not complaining, just making an observation that in retrospect is false and looks like complaining.

I don't think UA was a bad album at all. the chrous riff on Amerikhastan (if that's how it is spelled) was just plain awesome. I mean, there are much more insane and wacky riffs, but the flow and groove of where that riff goes just...rubbed me the right way. in the penis.

'you're dead' is a lot like 'sleepwalker' in the "i'm pissed off" way, not the most epic writings. the a tout le monde remake I coulda done without. 'burnt ice' is sweet, has 11 solos in it, which I dig. 'washington is next' is really sweet. 'blessed are the dead' is a nice funky riff that starts out kind of poppy/plain rock, but ends thrashing. starts on the first time you touched a girls tit and ends on the last time you made a girl orgasm a few times before blowing a creamy one on her face.

album is sweet, but I coulda really done without the spoken word rants. LAME. 'headcrusher' is kind of lame title too but the song sounded farking faboo

Nice, I can't wait until another passé 80's thrash band will release an album now? Someone revive David Wayne and call me only then!

United Abominations was almost as bad as Risk but I'll give Megadeth a clean slate on the new album.

I'm sure the production will be great but the music probably won't stand up to Death Magnetic.

See, now that would be something I would get excited about. But a new Megadeth/Metallica/Slayer just elicits a half-hearted meh from me.

I thought United Abominations was alright, although I preferred The System Has Failed (which has some great tracks on it, like Kick The Chair).

When Mustaine gets his head out of his ass and brings back Junior, Marty and Nick - then I'll get all giddy.

Protools is a poor substitute for those lads. Makes everything all sterile and such. There's no soul to the music.

Hey, somebodys' gotta say it.

I'm going to have to respond with a big NO. The instrumentation on Christ Illusion was dull, and Arya's voice has gotten more annoying with each album, to the point were it just grated on my nerves. And don't even get me started on God Hates Us All.

While I can't say I listen to Slayer for Araya's voice(not a huge fan of his singing), I think he is getting better. I think Christ Illusion is great, and way better than their other post-abyss albums. I also thought that Slayer's instrumentation has always been the same(2 guitars, bass, and drums), but maybe I am mistaken.

Oh yeah, and put me down for being interested in hearing the new Megadeth album too.
