What software do you use for your animated gifs?

GeeGee won't be around til late but I can answer that - we both use photoshop CS3. But you can make animated gifs on the cheap in photoshop Elements and for free in GIMP. The smaller the piece of an image being animated, the more frames you can use and the more fluid the movement. He used close to 100 frames for his anigif in this recent contest - keeping it under the Fark 200k limit by keeping the 'animated' parts very small.

Yay i-dig! I didn't read your response till after I posted mine. Much better answer! And I used to use Adobe ImageReady before CS3, but the interfaces in both are very similar.
