Almost feel bad for the guy.

/no, no I don't.

Usually headlines that say someone got their ass handed to them turns out to be "uh, not so much".

In this case, yeah, so much.

That was some high quality chewing, and spitting out.

namegoeshere 2009-06-13 06:15:04 PM
*sigh* If Dennis was tall, with charisma, he'd have gone all the way.

He does get to go home every night and bang his smoking hot wife, though, so he must have something going for him...

Whaddya know...I've always giggled at the possibility of a Keebler elf packing a 13" cock.

New keyboard. You know the procedure.

But yeah, nice job, Denny. If only the rest of Washington had similar scruple.

That was a bit on an episode of Just Shoot Me-they found put that Spade was huge.

God that was amazing.

No wonder he bangs such a hot wife. If he's that passionate outside of the bedroom imagine the wonders he performs within it.

Run again Dennis. I'll contribute time and $ again.

We could be so much better off. Not that Mr. Obama was not the better choice in November, just that Dennis would have been even better.

"Sigh" this country is just too conservative.

I gave money every week when they were auctioning off the chance to have dinner with him and his wife. Then did it again when you got the chance to sit with his wife and watch the debate. That would have been just wonderful.

So let me get this straight, the guy is saying he asked for the threat from the government in writing because he knows he's going to catch shait from his shareholders, Dennis makes it sound like he's asking the government to write a lie down to cover his ass and he denys it; and you guys think he was the bad guy?

Okay, sure if you like the idea of you're elected officials grand standing to further a campaign of class warfare, which is exactly what that appeared to be.

Eddie Adams from Torrance [TotalFark] 2009-06-13 10:44:44 PM
"Now if you gentlemen will excuse me, I'm going home to bang my incredibly hot wife"

It's a damn shame he's far too liberal to ever be elected President in this country. We could use alot more guys like Kucinich in our government.

all_arm 2009-06-13 10:46:05 PM
I predict that soon this thread will be crawling with conservatives of varying trollitude notifying us that in fact the linked video shows Kucinich getting his ass handed to him by the brave, freedom-loving CEO of Bank of America.

That is, if they can see their monitors well enough to type, what with such volumes of blood and bone obscuring their screens after their heads inevitably explode.

This post right here is the equivalent of the village idiot claiming everyone in town is stupid except him.

Nationalize the insolvent banks, fire the board/CEO, forcefully restructure them into a known to be solvent position, then hold a new IPO. Chewing the CEO of BoA out because he tried to cover his ass while making a purchase during a systemic crisis gets us NOWHERE. Who the fark cares?

Things like this do NOTHING to solve the problem. Showmanship at it's finest.

Stupid greedy prick wanted Countrywide and Merrill so he could build the largest financial supermarket in the country.

He was a goddamn jackass who took a healthy bank and destroyed it in 6 short months and he deserves to burn in hell for it.

Rock on Crazy Kucinich.

No he asked for a letter to cover his ass for misreporting his bank's situation to his stockholders. Bernanke said no we can't give you that. He didn't want to tell them he was getting money from the fed. he wanted them to give him an excuse.

Ken Lewis looks like he's got Chicklets for teeth. He went wayyyyy over the top with the whitening.

I do enjoy Dennis Kucinich.

bad_blood 2009-06-13 10:59:48 PM
I'm as left-leaning as pretty much anyone, but Kucinich doesn't appear to be making mutually exclusive positions while trying to get Lewis to agree to one or the other. Or at least telling him that his acceptance of one means he disagrees with the other.

The guys on Capitol Hill who actually do their jobs, left or right, can't get nominated for President. Corporate fatcats despise guys like him and RP, which is why the corporate media makes sure they get virtually no airtime in the debates.

I'd explain in detail why your post is a big giant bag of fail, but I am starting to pay attention to FARK ID's, and realize you KNOW you are full of shiat, but don't care.

When you ask the government for billions of dollars, then want them to say they are forcing you to take it, you are a shrub.

If it's so innocent why did he nearly perjure himself? He tried the old "I don't recall" dodge, but got caught.

What an absolute load of bullshiat. People have been laughing at this moran since the day he announced he wanted Merrill. Anyone with a goddamn brain cell in his head knew Ken was buying into the worst of the investment firms at a time when losses were piling up.

Everyone but Ken saw this coming from a mile away, and it was his own hubris that caused this mess.

The video originates from youtube. And last I checked, frat boys doing jackass stunts and teenage AW's dancing in their underwear didn't have a political bias.

Quit crying about biased sources when the neutrality of reality is so very obvious.

You should go to 1:30 again. "He still asked whether he could use as a defense that the government ordered him to proceed for systemic reasons. I said no."
He wasn't asking for the threat in writing, because there was no threat.
He was asking for a letter saying that the Fed was asking him to continue with the acquisition to ward off systemic problems. He was asking for cover, and this is different.

Okay, sure if you like the idea of you're elected officials grand standing to further a campaign of class warfare, which is exactly what that appeared to be.
Let me finish watching a video on the death tax, I'll get back to you on that. Maybe I'll follow that with either capital gains taxes, or separation of private funds (hedge funds) being taxed differently from other enterprises.

And it appeared to be nothing of the sort - it was a congressman hectoring a (now) mediocre businessman who wants to blame his problems on the government.
