Just my personal opinion, I'm not gay or anything, but Blacksnake sounds much better than Whitesnake.

That interview is some definitive proof Hair Metal was better than Grunge. Seriously, "Slide It In" lyrics surely affected the generation who wished to relate to them. Sadly, many are in prison on rape cases.

Difficult to find a recent pic of her that is decent; she's fallen
victim to the rare disease of silicon chipmunkosis that seems to
afflict older women who live in and around Hollywood:

Whitesnake named after singer's penis

It's not thirty-year-old news, it's Fark.

Whitesnake was the only '80s hair-metal band that wasn't TOTALLY horrible.

I mean, every second-rate prancing hair metal singer was trying to be Robert Plant, but David Coverdale ACTUALLY nailed it.

They were indeed the World Champions of Led Zep ripoff artists.

Except they didn't really sound like Led Zeppelin did, more like what Led Zeppelin would sound like in the 80s.

God, that Whitsenake album with Here I Go Again was the first CD i ever bought. I'm NOT proud of that.

Despite that, I actually liked reading that piece. Coverdale seems to have a sense of humor these days.
I guess Robert Plant must have developed a sense of humor when touring with Alison Krauss 2 years ago.

Poor John Sykes(sp?). He put together a great guitar album and was tossed to the curb. Never heard from him again, though Vivvian Campbell is now with Def Leppard, Adrian Vandenberg had his own Ibanez model (which was an RG with a stupic coutout behind the bridge) and Steve Vai is...Steve Vai.

Steve Vai was Steve Vai before Whitesnake.

And since you invoked Vivian Campbell, this is necessary:

I guess I'm late to this thread, but I have to say, I like that song Burn that he sang for Deep Purple.

I think you're confusing the Ibanez Reb Beach Voyager

with the Peavey Vandenberg

They played the O2 in Dublin last night (along with Journey and Def Leppard) - easily the best band that played (and Journey/Def Leppard were good...)
