:(
May God rest her mighty soul.

You consider the world's most famous gorilla obscure? (All Ball got hit by a car, BTW).

RIP, Miz Taylor, there are too few Blues legends left today.

Dammit! She was going to headline our jazz festival this fall. I was looking forward to finally seeing her live.

Goodnight, blues woman.

Saw her twice at the Chicago Blues Festival. I remember when she was a no-show in 2003 for a blues show in Asheville. She was pretty awesome.

In her prime, with Little Walter.

RIP, blues queen.

I now have to forgive her for BB2000.

Her song "Mother Nature" (not sure if she wrote it) is absolutely amazing. Nearly knocked me over the first time I heard it. She just had so much raw power in those vocal chords...

/rip, Queen of the Blues

Don't Mess With The Messer was fav Koko jam.

She had some pipes, heck THE pipes.

If she's got an equal, I'd run your ass over to hear the new kid on the block shout it out.

Saw her once, back in the day.

RIP and wang dang doodle, all night long, Koko!

Oh hell, I forgot about that song. That one kicks ass, too. Saw her live a couple of times, was never disappointed.

Anybody ever hear Savoy Brown doing Wang Dang Doodle. It is aboot the worst thing I ever heard. Up there with umm.. I don't even know.

Ooh ok. I got it. Take Ted Nugent's wang dang sweet poontang, play it at the same time as a Neil Young guitar solo, add in some twisted sister - that song they did that was popular, and now we're there.

I'm a huge fan of Little Walter, and Koko for that matter, but I personally like the London Sessions Howling Wolf version of that song best. Willie Dixon was DA MAN.
