Don't know anything about fishing, but wouldn't they have the possibility of changing?

Ted Williams used to fish not far from here. For $1000, I'll take you there myself.

Toshiro Mifune's Empty Pringles Container: Did they replace them with Folgers Crystals?

Dude, people are wondering if you're still around. Glad to see you are.

Having taken up bass fishing recently I can see why somebody would steal notes.

It's actually a secret map indicating where the lost Red Sox GOLD is!!

The movie will be "Like a baseball version of National Treasure, also starring Nicholas Cage and Jon Voight"

Forget National Treasure. Get Youkilis and they can remake Goonies.

Which are worth more. That they're Ted William's notes or that they're the lost secret of good fishing locations?

I' bet they're worth tens of hundreds of dollars.

So I live on Madeira Road, which is adjacent to Ted Williams Way here in Islamorada. Ted Williams' Florida-based fishing holes are still being plied by the same captains that once took him fishing - Billy Knowles and George Hommel, to name a couple - and pictures of him with a few 100+ lb. tarpon are on the wall at Mangrove Mike's Cafe.

So, who needs his notes? Just come down here to Islamorada, meet Billy at Lorelei for breakfast, and go find them yourself.

As a Sawx fan and a fisherman, I would be interested in a peek at that.

At first I thought Ted Williams was that guy who runs the anti-gay church that protests military funerals.

Then I thought it was the guy whose plane crashed a few months ago, and some hiker found his remains.

Then I started thinking about the guy who jumped out of the plane with a briefcase of stolen money a few decades ago, but they never found him.

Then I figured Ted Williams was the Unabomber.

By the time I realized it was some sports person, I wasn't paying too much attention to the story any more.

Maybe this should've been put in the Sports Links. I'm guessing you never go there.

OK, I'll be the boring one in this thread. Ted Williams the famous fisherman is not the same person as Ted Williams the famous Red Sox player. People have been confusing them for decades.

We will now return to your regularly-scheduled wit, snark, trolling, and puns.

At least you didn't mistake him for Ted Weems.

LOLWUT?

They are indeed one and the same Teddy Ballgame. He once said that he was a much better fisherman than he was a baseball player.

/he was a pretty mean war pilot as well
//they don't make 'em like they used to
