Aren't these the same ones as the gallery from Discover's website?

I thought that link was greenlit only a few weeks ago.

The fact that you get those equations tattooed shows that you're not smart enough to ever properly apply those equations.

You got a tattoo that neither looks cool nor means anything particularly important to you.

In short, you're a step below the cat's ass/bellybutton tattoo.

I'm trying to start a trend by getting a tattoo of my family health history and the md5sum of my DNA on my penis. Kinda like a nutrition information label for my man juice dispenser.

You got a tattoo that neither looks cool nor means anything particularly important to you, and that's all that matters.

In short, you're a step below the cat's ass/bellybutton tattoo you probably got way more ass than I ever did and never lived in your mom's basement.

You see those are smart person tattoos. When you are telling outrageous lies to get in bed with some chick -beware the smart person tattoos.

What you want is a chick that advertises her stupidity:

I've considered getting the Drake Equation down my leg. Trust me, you would rather I get this on my leg than a cat on my stomach.

No, I was pointing out the bad religion shirt going with a guy with a science tattoo. If you don't now, Greg Graffin, their lead singer, has a PhD in zoology from Cornell and is an outspoken athiest.

You expanded the hamiltonian but not the time derivative? Interesting choice.

(Always thought sigma(x)*sigma(p) > h-bar/2 would be a better one, so when people asked what it was you could say you weren't certain.)

It's just the 1D time-independent form.

If you want the time dependent form, you just have to play with substitution.

I understand the desire to get a nerdy tattoo, but some of those are just hideous, or worse, boring.

There is so much in science that could be beautiful as a tattoo; the quadratic equation is not one of those things.

Personally, I find tattoos to be an instant turn-off. Therefore, the presence of a tattoo renders someone immediately non-hot.

Ine is actually quite clever. It's the golden mean represented as a continued fraction and circular to deal with the fact that the expression is infinite and repeating.

Tattoos are most meaningful to the tattoo-wearer. Even though I wouldn't get one myself I appreciate them; these are really cool. I loved the full-back microscope art.

No worries. If a guy doesn't have a nicely trimmed beard, bright green eyes, isn't 6'2" and doesn't have long, dark wavy hair past the center of their back, I don't look twice at them, myself.

I'm thinking of getting a psi tattoo on the left ankle as a nod to my physics interests.

Can anyone tell me what that [OH - (benzyl group?) - NH2 - CH3]2 - SO4 compound is? Just curious. Tried googling benzyl methyl ammonium hydroxide sulfate and I think I was a little off because it was no help.

slithering_wombastage 2009-05-31 06:33:26 PM
Too bad neither website described what each "scientific" tattoo meant.
I assume the formulas meant something to the wearer, but not enough to me to actually figure them out.

Some looked more "fantasy" than science.

/you know tattoos are OVER when nerds and dweebs embrace them
