Damn, according to their website, only stateside gig they've got coming up is in Milwaukee. I definitely would like to see them live.

I always turn the station whenever I hear the RHCP's but this actually was good.

I like the bagpipes, and they evidently have found someone with more musical talent than they possess to help them along.

Good.

I vote yes.

Neat, because it's outside the box a bit.

But I could have used far more Flea and far less bagpipes.

This was like one of those alternate history books: what if...

Take another look at the P of RHCP in the headline.

Though pipers have been known to pick pecks of pickled peppers.

Very cool.

/Would like to see them play "It's a Long Way to the Top (If You Want to Rock & Roll)".

FREDIOHEAD 2009-05-31 03:10:13 AM
If they would have broken out with "In A Big Country" that would have rocked.

I liked how they changed the "Smoke" riff to accommodate the bagpipes' lack of Eb.

/didn't like the warbled "thunderstruck" intro

MikoSquiz 2009-05-31 08:30:05 AM
Do bagpipes always sound out of tune? Is it intrinsic to the instrument?

Christi [TotalFark] 2009-05-31 08:32:50 AM
That's pretty farking cool. The drummer looks like he's having a good time.

Read the headline wrong and expected to see Flea and the gang. I clicked with the full intention of being disappointed. I freakin' love the bagpipes. That was sweet!

Well darn. I can no longer say that everything I've ever heard on the bagpipe sounds like either Amazing Grace or the Old Spice commercial.

The fade out was the chorus of everlasting love, FYI.

Well I have to admit... that is something that I've never seen before.

And I also have to admit... it was awesome!!

no one cries when you cut up a bagpipe.
