This is so serendipitous. I woke up half-dreaming "Time to Melt" off this EP. I cursed the Fates that i couldn't play it at its full volume at 7am.

I will do so later tonight.

Maybe around midnight.

My neighbors will hate me.

I care not.

Back in '97 I saw KMFDM and after the show Raymond Watts came out to sign autographs and greet everyone that had waited around. I wasn't really waiting but my car was right there in the parking lot so went and grabbed my original copy of Praise the Lard from Concrete Records. When I handed it to him to sign he was amazed and just lit up. This was right after Cleopatra illegally re-issued it. He was really surprised and said it had been years since he had seen one of the original.

I was surprised at how humble and soft spoken he was. His stage presents projects like he has a big ego but when I met him it was completely different. He was the only one that came out to greet people except when the others passed from the club to the tour bus.

I'm not really a celeb meeter/ autograph getter but maybe I'll go to another pig show and have his sign the actual CD and see what he says about the autograph on the front of the album cover/liner notes. In fact his is the only autograph I have ever gotten. I have other artifacts from shows like a garbage bag Orge put over his head at the same KMFDM show and a feather boa from a Thrill Kill Kult show.

I was listening to this one day in the jounalism office last year while putting the school newspaper online and was accused by some young hipster douchebag of listening to "butt rock." After containing my laughter, I explained a bit about who Jello Biafra is. His reply was "But it doesn't matter what his credentials are if he plays butt rock." I could only Montoya the fool and turn it up to drown out his cries.

@Links:

1. Tell him to go back home and rub one out to Tokio Hotel.
2. Watch for knowing expression
3. Repeat if necessary.
