Speaking for the state of Minnesota

As an Illinois resident and bowler, I believe this issue of bowling shoe safety is long overdue, and I welcome the further intrusion of government into my life, and am heartened by the fact that they are dealing with the pressing issues of the day in Springfield and not worrying about that pesky ethics reform or budget stuff.

Golly, having to place signs in and around a bowling alley that point of the obvious yet failing to make helmets mandatory on motorcycles? What kind of state is that? Common knowledge versus common sense.

Oh yeah, Illinois. Says it all. Wonder if bowling alleys will be shielded from lawsuits if they list Newton's Laws and have a chart of strength of materials including wood. Seems that would prevent slipping inside the bowling alley according to Illinois.

How about texting while bowling? I can still do that?

Might be hard to pin those all down.

Well, you know how many people die every day in unregulated bowling alleys, compared to the miniscule number that die in unhelmeted motorcycle accidents? I think it's high time someone addressed this deadly topic as seriously as it needs.

How could anything described in the article be called an intrusion of government into your life? Do you live in a bowling alley? Do you regularly sue bowling alleys?

Shouldn't there at least be a limit on how small the small stuff is?

I thought we stopped Saddam over there so we didn't have to stop him over here. Stop him from handing out bowling shoes.
