I'm a huge Billy Bragg fan, personally, but let me say this:

Does he really have to do anything, here? I understand his discontent, and I know he'd rather expand his audience to moderates to hear his ideas, but these people might learn something about 1. How the BNP is made up of retards who pick liberal people to represent their ideas on a 'culture' cd, because they assume that anyone who buys their shiat is a retard who doesn't know any better 2. How 'Back To Basics' is one of the greatest collections of songs to come from the UK, and it doesn't involve 'pakis'.

Q: Why do BNP members wear red suspenders?

A: THEY DON'T HAVE TO TELL YOU, C*NT!

So you don't like what they do with the music you sold away, DON'T SELL THE RIGHTS TO YOUR MUSIC. They did not object to getting PAYED huge sums for said music, only when the 'new owners' use it for somthing they don't like...Sounds like the musicians should try a little fore-sight. Hard to have your cake, sell it, then object to anyone else taking a bite.

Billy should get a few songs from this outrage.

If those musicians are really pissed off about it, they could publicly make a huge cash donation to some British multicultural organization. I'm sure the guys from Floyd could easily afford to.

RTFA. The issue is with distributorship, not covers. The only way they could have prevented this is to have never sold the albums in the first place.

British National Party? Put them up against the Wall!

If you don't like your music being used in certain ways, I can totally relate to that. Empathize and sympathize, even. Especially when it comes to the British National Party, or stateside douchebags like Rush Limbaugh.

But you just can't sign the BMI contract today, cash the paycheck tomorrow, then biatch about unfairness on Monday. Sorry, no sale.
